would like to know in what way a margin helps
already there isn't much space to write and if one ll place a margin it will consume further space

i am asking this for my own improvement whether it is beneficial to draw margins or not

i appeared in css 2008, initially i thought that i ll place margins, but when i saw the answer sheets i just refrained from it
doesn't it give the message that to make one's paper voluminous one is just using up the valuable space
others please enlighten us on this point
What is the word limit for English Essay
different limits are mentioned on the essay paper in different years
in ce 09 it was 2500 to 3500
but it is not at all necessary to strictly follow this limit

Margins were already there on the left hand side of the page; there is no need to draw the margins.

1-No you cannot use colored pens or markers only black and blue are allowed.
2-Yes you can do that but if you use marker blue or black for questions and same color ink or ball point for answers it will be fine.
3-I don't know exactly the size of the sheets but it is roughly the same as A4,may be a little more from top to bottom.
4-You can use the margins, there are margins on one side of the sheet and if you have the time you can add them on the other side as well. But i think its better not to place margins and focus more on what you write because they don't carry any marks. And when your are approaching the end of the paper and there is little time left you need to write as fast as you can and drawing margins would be a waste of your precious time that you need to put in to your answer.

But its ones personal choice to draw margins or not.
I didn't put any margins on my sheets and used blue marker for questions and blue ball point for answers.
For EDS paper if you want to draw a diagram use marker to outline the figure and ink or ball point to add the details.
Regards.
