Important questions regarding 2010 Admission - Seniors please help!

Today I went to FPSC and took the admission form, also discussed my issues with a person in the CSS wing, I did not get entirely satisfactory answers, so I am asking here.

1) My degree is on waiting, I will receive it from London in January.
2) I have statements of results, same as mark sheets, and probably Ill get some sort of letter of recognition from HEC.

My question now is, if I submit my application without my official degree copy, and just statements of result, will I be disqualified later on? because the official said even if you attach nothing with the application form, you can appear in the written, but you will be disqualified later on.

So, if I submit application without official degree copy, will I be allowed to submit my official degree later in January? Some people have told me that FPSC sends out notices of 15 days, before announcing the result, asking the candidates to submit any missing papers.

So do we have to wait for such a notice? is that notice sent to everyone? What if we dont get that notice? Will I be disqualified? I am pretty confused regarding this.

My Second query is regarding the table inside the new application form, asking to put numbers besides groups of interest, in priority order, It is my understanding that such was not asked before?

If so, what should ones course of action be regarding this? are there any things you need to consider before you give your preferences regarding groups of choice?

The form says you can number them from 1 - 12 in order of preference and leave out any group you wish not to be considered for.

So what if I put a preference number beside all 12 groups, will I be disadvantaged in anyway? what If I put it besides 4 or 5? Again, very confused regarding this.

Will be thoroughly thankful to anyone who takes the time to answer my queries.

Awaiting responses.

Hello dear :)

I would like to answer your questions regrading CE 2010.

My question now is, if I submit my application without my official degree copy, and just statements of result, will I be disqualified later on? because the official said even if you attach nothing with the application form, you can appear in the written, but you will be disqualified later on.
Ans :

If you have got the Mark sheet then you can appear in the exam.Later you would be intimated to submit your Degree .That can be done even after taking the exam .So don't worry you won't be disqualified, if you go through the exam. This is my personal experience.

Q2

Ans.

Dear You can put your preference number as per your choice here .It may be from 1 to 12.you can choose all the groups by inserting the desired numbers before each.for example, put 1 before PSP (if it is your choice NO 1),2 before FSP and so on.

Hope that is satisfactory.

Best Regards.

Thanks oriental, for your first answer, I understand it is your experience, but do they intimate everyone regarding their degree etc? and can you submit your degree yourself as soon as you get it? or do you have to wait for their intimation?

as for the second answer, Im sure I can select all 12, but will I have any disadvantage if I select all 12? or anything else related to this?

@hunain

yes everyone is asked to submit his/her degree and certificates .You don't need to go ,just wait for the letter .once you are asked to submit the degree you have to submit it within 15 days.

As fas as group selection is concerned ,better you had select all the 12 groups. Because if you miss or leave a group then you are not eligible for that.It means you are limiting yourself. So select all groups it increases the possibility to get allocated .

Best Regards

Okay, thanks oriental, but regarding the selection of all groups, would it not show that the person is not focused towards one group according to his capabilities, and just wants to get a job anywhere? I thought it would cast a negative light.

Dear Hunain, brother oriental has rightly guided you.

As far as HEC equivalence is concerned, if i am not forgetting any thing, HEC dont issue any equivalence letter unless copy of degree is appended with the equivalence proforma, but perhaps you can get a recognition letter stating status of your university. If you are in Islamabad, you can visit HEC Equivalence Cell and see Syed Asim Hussain or Azizullah Khan. Both are dealing officers for equivalence. In case of any problem, you may like to ask for me from them, and can see me in my office.

Dear Tabassum, I actually visited the Office of Syed Asim Hussain yesterday, but he was not present, I left an application for the recognition letter.

Do you also work there at the HEC? if so, I have an issue which needs attention since no one there could satisfy me accordingly. (Some people were even rude).

Please let me know if and how I can contact you. Thanks alot.
Sincere regards.

Tabassum bhai, I need to discuss somethings before I visit again tomorrow, please could you e-mail me on my address so I can reply and correspond right now?

hunain.naseer@gmail.com

That is my e-mail address, I will be looking forward to your e-mail so we can discuss this issue, I don't live in Islamabad, I am from rwp, and it takes considerable time to travel, so I would like to clarify some issues before I come there. Also I tried calling the numbers provided to me, but no one receives the phone there. Waiting for your response.
