my group preferences are
DMG
Audit and accounts
income tax
custom

my brother said that u should place customs on second as audit and accounts is "thaka" group.is it so? should i revise

Dear u cant call it thaka infact no group in css is like that but hez rite custom is better than audit and accounts n u better reverse dis order after dmg like

AUDIT and ACCOUNTS or MILITARY LAND( another nice group esp for girls)

Dear mussaa i agree with u MLCG is a v gud group infact its better dan audit and accounts
but point is mostly aspirants hardly bother abt dez groups.. except selecting their first 3 or 4 preferences they tick all other groups randomly ..not a gud thing

Not sure how MLC is good for girls since most of the postings in MLC are in Cantonment areas and such Cantonments areas can be in remote areas outside big cities. Also, customs & excise group is now re-classified as Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) and income tax group has ceased to exist. In its place is Inland Revenue Service which is responsible for income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty and has significantly improved. In my opinion your preference should be:

DMG
IRS or PCS
Audit & Accounts

in my point of view you must think to revise this order, and must place foreign office at 2nd and custom at 3rd, then the other groups.

What is the status of Irs after 18th amendment?As sales tax is being devolved to provinces and excise duties are being abolished steadily..Please guide

Even if the provinces would take tax collection on their own, IRS officers could be sent on deputation to provinces for the purpose.
