The point that there z no scoring trend is hardly relevant nowadays. I know persons having merit number under top 50s once, and next time in 400s, all due to u-turn in scoring trend of some subjects. This policy z playing with the future of many brilliant minds. V r living in a country where many things r left to luck and the same applies here.
Dear friend, if it is so than how some candidates got 60+ in journalism? u may also check the dms of qualified candidates in this regard.. and what proof do we have of persons who are claiming that they have done 20 mcqs correct and ended up with 40?

It is luck i know.. but the more hardwork you will do, more the luck will be with you..

Some subjects are facing high scoring and low-scoring trends, but as i said earlier no one can predict which subject is going to be hit this year..

Regards..
Usman is saying this coz he has taken CSS attempt and has suffered at the hands of FPSC's strange policies..and he is right..Before attempting CSS I also had the same views as u have..but they have drastically changed after the result..high and low scoring trends are there, and no matter how hard u try,u cant beat them..60+ cases in journalism in 2010 are very few..probably 10,11..whereas in the previous years this has been the average mark..and paper this year was very very easy as compared to previous years..I myself have scored 57 marks in journalism..And I know what an excellent attempt mine was..
Maybe this realization only comes with experience..
what are marking trends in
economics
statistics
indo pak history
sociology?????
were these subjects went well????
Among these subjects, Sociology and Indopak were mine too. I clinched 80 plus marks in Sociology in 2010 and 2011, while I tumbled in Indopak in these same years, despite writing what is required.

Only after appearing in these two years, I came to know that Indopak as optional should be chosen only when you know how to score in it. This subject is a great risk to one's success. There are just two ways to score high in this subject : To write more and more quotations and to use subject's innate terminology, for example, Akbar proved as a " Prince of Asia " in renovating Revenue system.

This is how I see it.
