Guys don't be impatient .. Don't reach at conclusions on the basis of pass/fail status .. It takes a single subject to Fail .. Let's wait for dms .. many failed candidates would have performed better than passed candidates

Islamyat, was something like a subject residing in my subconscious! well, I am sure that this awkward serenity in my mind must have killed me.

1. maintaining office 10 days before exam
2. no writing practice
3. Relying on luck (prayed all the time for MCQs)
4. Not staying brief, exact and involving in haphazard debates in one question
5. Discontinued/interrupted flow of thoughts

Here, I would like to add a psychological factor too.
As per my earlier posts, I won't share anything bookish or heard from the horse's mouth but my own experience
CSS aspirants, almost 3 month prior to to exams, feel nervous and start speculating that they won't be able to do it this time around. The truth is only knowm to the aspirant himelf/herself. But in order to armour himself against others' expectations, he looks for excuses and hurdles intentionally or unintentionally to prove to others that his preparation has been hampered by many obstacles.
The aspirant, in this respect, looks for minor non-issues to get himeslf involved in so that an excuse can be sought. He magnifies even the slightet of problems and keeps it as an armour for himself in case of failure.
Job, family, lack of guidance, facilities or even any affair ( sorry to point it out ) are beautifully attired excuses.
One needs to pay full attention to one's preparation with Commitment, Concentration and Consistency. One, at least, must not lie to oneself and should have clear introspection as to what wrong and irrelevant he has been doing.
Plz, put aside the non-issues and stop using them as an armour and excuses for your failure.Don't lose the battle before even it is fought. CSS is the name of battle of nerves.
Regards,
Ainuddin KIbzai.

it is a better idea not to announce about taking css exams and one can avoid these dramas. A cousin of mine surprised us after he got allocated and till that time all of us thought he is good for nothing.

Mistakes I made:
1- Lack of study. Didn't even see Precis and EDS books.
2- Didn't read news paper.
3- Didn't give my best. I would leave the exam hall with 30 minutes and at times 1 hour remaining. I knew my prep was never going to be enough.
4- Didn't note anything thing down let alone doing writing practice. Trusted memory more than it was worth.
5- I had appeared in KPK PMS shortly(20 days ) before CSS. I qualified that, cuz in PMS, I put everything I had got. I dissembled my knowledge by concocting answers/stories etc on my own. I couldn't do the same in CSS. Perhaps I was jaded. Had run short of fuel.
6- Using substandard local books, dogars sons for Indopak, pak affairs, and mian muhammad anwar for geo.
