Exclamation Failed candidates CSS2011-An Insight

As members of 'the club' know that time is really short. So, without any delay, we shall start analyzing our mistakes before we develop any strategy. In the subject of management, I studied that before planning any strategy, analysis of the internal and external environment is critical; maybe thats why it is called as 'critical analysis/situational analysis.

There must be weaknesses in our efforts and thats why we failed. I am initiating this thread only for the sake of lightening the burden of our heart and an insight! Only you can be the best critique of yourself!

I know a lot of you may suggest to wait for DMC. but DMC is a mere reflection of objective factors or result of your subjective mistakes. So, let's start sharing the subjective kind of mistakes that we are sure we made.
I am not going to say this would help others, but help ourselves to feel light and focused for near future.

Pour out here where did you go wrong. Top three mistakes that caused you this failure.

To me, this step is the most important step in preparing for next attempt.

Good initiative indeed. Although DMC will specify the week areas of us but in my opinion I made following mistakes:
1. Shortage of time. I prepared for the exams in only 2 months and that too with full time job, have to go to office even in between the exams. So this thing hurted a lot.
2. No writing practice. Due to shortage of time I was not able to do writing practice which is a basic ingredient for success.
3. Took my home subjects Business Administration and Mercantile law very lightly and as a result was not able to perform very well in the exam.

Regards,

My only mistake was believing that there the only thing that exists is Hard Work and there is nothing called LUCK...

I was proved wrong.

1. Took Islamiyat lightly
2. Writting practice
3. Attempt at an early age( as said by my commentators)

Three blunders on my part:

1. I didn't solve the past papers prior to the taking of exam.

2. Resultantly, I could not solve the whole paper in limited frame of time (maximum 3 questions I properly attempted from subjective portion in each paper)

3. Couldn't revise the optionals.

I did not memorize things. I cleared concepts only and did not memorize necessary details. So, wherever I needed them, I couldn't recall effectively.

I slept during run-time (means I did not sleep really well during exam days, and kept worrying or revising.) So, this time I would complete my preparation by the end of January INSHALLAH and do all the revision in Feb. and take sufficient sleep during exams. That means, I have to develop a strong preparation plan.

I prepared so well in the months of October and November but almost did nothing valuable in the Months of December and January except Current Affairs, and general knowledge stuff. Did not revise well.

Moreover, I dropped Psychology and opted for Accounting right at the moment of filling form. and how unlucky I was, that the paper pattern changed that was being followed for last 20 years. Those who opted for Accounting would empathize my pain.
