As per the mark sheets shared here,Psychology has definitely remained super scoring this year.Other good scoring subjects include Punjabi,Sociology,Indo pak/Islamic History and Geography. And yes, Journalism is back on scoring track.

Cheers

Desprado Thursday, December 08, 2011 05:07 PM

i scored 91 in geo I and 40 in part II, dont know what the hell went wrong in its part II :con plus euro hist has been the worst scoring this year, i freaking spent so much time on it and literally left no stone un-turned and was 200% sure of breaking all the records in that stupid subject n i hardly passed

soloflyer Thursday, December 08, 2011 10:20 PM

Journalism, Sociology , Psychology , Geography , Languages and All the histories..
all these subjects were scoring , but this trend also underlines one more thing and that is you cannot rely on scoring trend. because journalism was beaten badly last year and those students who preferred not to opt it this time will be feeling miserable.

so go with the subjects that you are most comfortable with and pray to god that these subjects should be scoring this year.

@ kamran
@ Despardo
@Soulfilly:

nice analysis dear. one thing has been seen in common those who didnt change their preferences according to scoring trend remained safe. however, this time psychology, muslim history, Sociology, regional languages, journalism, and especially GK showing kindness for the aspirants>

what i conclude never change the choice with respect to trend. stick to your choice and you will get through...

best of luck to all aspirants.

yup so far its scoring trend isn't good !!

shanrafiq Friday, December 09, 2011 01:52 PM

Indo pak history is showing mixed trend. people are getting close to 120, but to expect this subject to give us marks like geography, psychology is far fetched. In all honesty I will be more then happy if I can obtain 120.

Zahara Alvi Friday, December 09, 2011 02:04 PM

same goes for me !
Its the only subject haunting me this time.. My all papers went well except this.. :(

Gulrukh Friday, December 09, 2011 04:49 PM

Indo pak history

Indo pak's MCQ were really really tough...n paper too was just ok.n second possibility is of low marks as well.I'm throwing my history books now...enough of history.

marwatone Saturday, December 10, 2011 08:06 AM

US History and Pushto have remained low scoring this time around.

ArifAwan Saturday, December 10, 2011 08:20 AM

@Marwatone

I agree with your analysis that Pushto has not been able to be at par with other regional languages. In Punjabi and sindhi 70+ marks are frequent while in pushto not many have scored above 60 even. My opinion is based on the few DMS available on the forum.

ThePhoenix Sunday, December 11, 2011 12:03 PM

Well since i qualified this year, i don't get to see my DMC until after the interviews.
However, i did ask a couple of my friends, who could not pass this time around, to share their details.

A common trend that was observed this time (in my opinion) was .....
- low scores in essay
- journalism scores were pretty high this time around
- Current Affairs and Pak Affairs scores were a lil low AND
- Sociology and Geography were well scoring this year

If you're going for 2012 attempt then you shouldn't change Indopak because it will be disastrous for you as to prepare 200 marks for entirely different subjects will lead you to nowhere due to immense shortage of time. However if you feel you have already covered some substitute then its fine. Punjabi is ever green nobody will discourage this choice. But there must be huge brainstorming and before-hand planning before opting a 200 marks subject as it owes loud amount of risk as well in short time...

Consult everyone but always be the decision maker!!!

I think all these subjects are good scoring subjects. I would advise you to select atleast one 200 marks subject. As you have already finalized 4 subjects carrying 100 marks each. Now you may go for either Geography or Psychology.

umar2005 Wednesday, December 21, 2011 12:12 PM

geography is somewhat lengthy if u r good in sociology u will be good in psychology too so opt it

ThePhoenix Wednesday, January 04, 2012 07:59 PM

selective study. 2 months. pre-requisite includes having prior knowledge of most subjects.

My prayers and best wishes will escort you in all your endeavours. Inshallah, everything will be fine. Its true that Pushto didn't come up to our expectation, yet, people really fail in it. Since you have passed it, you have no worries of that kind :). If your paper went well, expect 60+, if it was average, it would be 50+ . stay blessed and pray for me as well :).

you should not be worried at all. Opting for regional languages is always a good idea as they keep one on the safe side. Maximum scoring trend may vary from year to year, still they do not fall below the threshold level :)

us history

wen looking at the low scores in us history plz consider that this years paper was very diferent from the trend in the subject that mcqs are repeated and long questions cvome from some 15 odd topics. many students prepare keeping in mind the past trend. most who went to academies wud have stuck to those few topics and therefore they suffered this time around as few mcqs from past papers were repeated and there were barely 3 questions that are part of the trend in the past.

that does not mean that marking is strict.
