well i don't think i can give u any tips coz i myself dont know what they judged me on. i just think it was a lucky day for me. i was very nervous just a day before my interview coz it was my first interview ever but a wise man gave me this advice: "be fearless and speak your mind out without thinking about the consequences" and so i did.
I'm thinking of posting my interview in one of these threads, it might be of some help to u.

Thank you Ahmar.

Nothing too extra-ordinary. I had my notes, plus V.D Mahajan's book (that I haven't yet read the last couple of chapters of). Plus some very good notes of a friend. Plus general interest in history.

Oh, and I made time lines of major events, wars, battles, treaties. That helped a lot as well.

i have read your interview. the extraordinary mks you got in interview were because of the fact that you xhibted remarkable confidence during interview. i wish you had scored a few more mks in written you would have got a very good group. better luck next time. :onesec stay onthe forum to guide others about interview tips.

Merit holder no 11 got 69 in essay;he is a blind fellow,highly competent and got FSP.

That might be one of the reasons but he was in psychological with us and he was exceptional in knowledge, commitment and conversation skills.

i know many people who had remarabe handwritting and they failed in essay. my handwritting is totally disasterous and terrible to even read. i got 40 in css 2011 essay. thus handwritting has got nothing to do with mks.

guys, i attempted 2 questions relating to water crises which were set in 2011 paper.The material was taken from S.P HAMMAD'S current affairs notes of 2011 which r brought out a month before exams every year. But the plus point was that i almost reproduced all the facts and figure, must have got 16 marks in each. 1 question attempted on urbanization which i prepared from 1 dawn article plus fazle karim book.

As for guidelines, in this paper we r supposed to write more with exact facts and figures, plus maps if necessary. You should have relevant material at ur disposal at least for 35 to 40 min and pour it into the paper.But be careful, irrelevancy can cause deduction in marks.
