An unusual thing happened to me... During the interview BD wrote a chit and called runner... When interview was over a person took me to an office(It was office of IT Expert...Do not remember his name). He was given chit and he asked me to sit..Then he started discussing about IT and how to improve IT standards of FPSC.. I have IT background. It was general chit chat about Pakistan,IT and which professions are better for Students..It was 30 minute chat.I asked him that sir its unusual.why am i being interviewed again? He said that this interview carried no marks and neither would it be reported to BD. They did not ask anything from optional subjects

Now really donot know why this happened to me.(Kuch kehty hain its positive sign and some said its negative sign)

Jo be sign ha God knows better but overall it was an inetrview where so many arguments and counter arguments were presented.Sai debate hue meri members say on all isuues.Anyways wish me best of luck and wish you all bestest of lucks dears.

My interview, today 5th of januray 2012

Hello friends.
It was my interview today and i think this could be the most weird interview this year.

I was the first one to appear today and the atmosphere in the room was nice and easy, Chairman sb received me with a smiling face.

BUT, the moment i sat there he told me that psychological team has assessed me as a below average person
( Though my both days of psychological days had gone very good :O )
but i remained indifferent

In no time he started asking questions plus counter questioning by Bhagwan Das sb about
Monuments built by Muslims !
Economic importance of my city
Skills for DMG
Islamic culture
Three very tough legal terms and maxims ( i have done ll.b)

Saud Gohar sb took most of the time and each and everything was about my psychological proforma !

My joke, incident that annoyed my family, ways to control corruption in departments, reasons for resigning from a job in IG office.
My replies in proforma were a bit controversial so this was the reason he asked in so much detail and so much argumentation was done !!
But he never seemed satisfied

Then General sb asked bit of law and then about Salman Taseer case as i had been discussing religion with Saud sb and my views made him bring this topic. Againf a lengthy discussion.

That was it! no current affairs that i had prepared so good.

They are generally asking question about recent developments in current national and international affairs and with some they keep asking about Optionals only. So go there after preparing all of the stuff
Lots of counter questioning is done there.

BEST OF LUCK EVERYONE

The psychological assessment pattern has undergone several changes. Please refer to several threads in Psychological Tests to have a general idea. A simple example/proof is that our group was not asked about favourite personalities neither in pro forma nor in the interview. It will be prudent to prepare yourself sufficiently prior to the test in order to avoid answers on-the-spur of the moment which more often tend to work in favour of the examiners and not candidates.

DEADLYDOCTOR Friday, January 06, 2012 03:23 AM

news from last 4 days of viva are that they are asking different things.some were asked about psychological per forma questions more, some with current affairs, some with optional. well panel seems to be friendly according to 4 days report.

@mohsin sultan
i heard that they did this 'below average' with 2 persons today.do they really mean it?how much they argue about it?
well best of luck bro!

Mohsin Sultan Sangha Friday, January 06, 2012 08:33 AM

@ Deadly doctor

Yeah one of them was me !

Well we know nothing but my psychological proforma contained some controversial stuff and joke of Arsalan ( the other guy) was about ethnicity so may be they wanted to make us change our stance or amend our stance.
Or may be our report was very good ( i pray so )

or we actually were below average haha

No questions were asked from the optionals. Duration was 30 minutes. The difference between this viva and the previous ones was that this time the viva was classic and superb. I clicked on the right day. Panel has no reason not to give 200 marks inshallah.

@shallowater,

kindly tell your answers as well so that we'll clear.

A unique trend that I have observed after going through some of the interviews is that the panel is not asking for the introduction of the candidates....they are starting the interviews from general questions, but the questions and way of interview varies from person to person, so we can't generalize this trend to all the candidates. It depends on the performa of the candidates.

@ Shallow Water

Most of the position holders of this competitive examination over the course of history were the candidates appearing for 2nd or 3rd time. Perfection is rarely found in the first attempt which to be honest is considered an immature or rather amateur attempt usually. Nevertheless, each attempt has its own significance and worth; the first building a foundation, while the last registering a milestone. I wish you also get a chance to register a milestone in your name.

Thanks for sharing the experience.

All the Best!
