Dress code mentioned in the " Joining Instructions for 40TH CTP " was as follows.

[B]DRESS REQUIREMENTS[/B]

The Academy lays strong emphasis on proper turnout. Probationers are expected to be properly attired at all times and at no time present an unkempt or slovenly appearance. The Name Tags are to be worn at all times during classes.
Probationers must keep their hair trimmed and properly groomed. Male Probationers are required to shave daily and must keep their sporting moustaches & beards properly trimmed.
a. The following dress code is observed in the Academy:
[B]MEN[/B]
Week days (except Fridays) - Lounge suit with official necktie with closed shoes and socks.
Friday – White shalwar and kameez with band collar waistcoat (dark grey /navy blue/black/dark brown) and black/brown closed shoes with socks.

[B]WOMEN[/B]
Shalwar and kameez with at least three quarters sleeves and dupatta. Formal court shoes / closed sandals with straps. Use of slip-ons / flip flops / chappals, pyjamas, trousers, jeans & variations thereon are not allowed.

b. All Probationers are expected always to be well-groomed and properly attired according to the weather. Casuals or frivolous attire shall NOT be allowed during academic hours or in the Officers' Mess.
c. Only formal leather shoes shall be worn in academic area, auditorium, Probationary Officers' Mess/Lounge and Library. Sneakers, sports shoes and tennis shoes may be worn only as a part of PT / Games dress. Use of slip-ons/ leather chappals by Probationers is strictly proscribed (forbidden). Use of bathrooms slippers is restricted to the hostel rooms only.
d. During Physical Training and evening games, probationary officers are required to wear official track suit prescribed by the Academy and sports shoes. Female probationary officers may wear tracksuit or white shalwar kameez.
e. The Academy provides the facility of vendor for official track suits for the sake of uniformity. Payment to the vendor is made by the probationers themselves from their dress allowance. Details for sizes may be seen at Annex-E. Please fax the information immediately on receipt of this letter on 042-99220892-99220076, or post through courier to the Deputy Director (Coordination), Civil Services Academy, Walton, Lahore.
f. During summers, male probationary officers may wear t-shirts as prescribed by the Academy with shorts (Blue/Grey/Black) for Physical Training and evening sports.
Dress code for specific occasions like Guest Nights and Cultural Nights is notified by the Academy separately.
