Css center allocation
 

i want to know whether Center can be changed or not?
They have allocated me a very distant examination center almost tow hours away from my home.
I have been calling to them but no one responds on the phone. I was surprised to see such a lethargic and casual approach of FPSC like organization to such matters and their procedures.

It can be changed from one city to other on production of genuine reason before FPSC but it can't be changed within city.

I am also in same situation. There are two centres near my home. One on 5 minutes walk and the other on 15 minutes walk but they have allocated me a centre on approx. 2 hours drive from my place.

I kept calling FPSC but no one was atending my calls. Finally i got a number attended. I told him that my allocated center is almost 2 hours distant from my house so please re-allocate me a center which is at half hour distance from my home. Even a center is just 15 minutes from my home.
But they have thrown me too distant to reach easily. The officer told me that the incumbent DG of FPSC has issued a directive that No change in center will be done once allotted by Computer. I requested him for any relaxation on compassionate grounds but he told that earlier such application were entertained and center were changed but they are helpless due to a directive from the incumbent DG.

This attitude of FPSC is very rude and rough and a very casual approach to the genuine and real compassion of the people. Such a prestigious organization is not supposed to deal CSS-Aspirants in this manner.

I request all the members of the forum to raise voice against it so that FPSC may pay some attention and revise its adamant and stiff neck rules for the people of Pakistan.

Dear Chintoo FPSC already [URL="http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/news/related_links/Notice%20for%20ce-2013.pdf"]informed candidates[/URL] that no request for center change will be entertained. Just imagine few days are left for exam if your center is changed on this occasion the most affected person will be 'you' because lists of attendance are prepared for each center and it cannot be changed at the last hour. This exam is an extensive exercise which also requires certain other measures so changing center will double the burden of FPSC and it will also put FPSC in embarrassing situation.

I agree with you to some extent but my request was only this that why they have allotted me far off center. There are numberless centers of FPSC near my home some are at 30 minutes, some are at one hour or so but why have i been thrown in a center where i shall reach if i leave my home at about 0600 hours to reach the center at 0900 hours and at least 4 times i will have to change my source of transport i.e Rickshaw, then many wagons. This is total injustice. If they donot change the center, they should allot nearer to the residence.

Same situation, the centre is as far away from my house as is geographically possible whilst remaining in the same city. Any hope or possibility of getting it changed? Is there any possible way of any kind? Legal action, bribery, anything?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Now I'm going to rely on on the new mass transit buses to get around, plus something to get me to their stations. Best of luck with papers.

Facing the same issue. On way to my allocated center, I pass two such places where CSS exams are being held and logically i should have been going to one of these places..but no, they had to make sure I get proper exercise before each exam :p
