you should immediately go to fpsc and give a representation regarding this issue as rules were same in CE-2012 and CE-2013 both !

and it would be much better if you give reference of any other case of this kind dealt by FPSC prior to this !

goodluck !

according to you AND-ing ( conjunction) should be done in the end and first we need to perform the OR ( disjunction )
lets have a look at the table for A and ( B or C )

just look at the line 2 , here FPSC violated the rule ( although i used the expression just like you asked me to use)

in short the 2012 rules were almost same as those in 2013 but candidates in 2012 were dealt according to the old rules of 2001 - 2002 - 2003 . the flawed rule of 2012 could allow the candidates , failed in aggregate but pass in both compulsory and optional , to appear in interview . but this never happened because people never bothered to interpret rules .

now in 2013 fpsc suddenly woke up, changed the flawed rule and replaced it with an even tougher one .they also implemented it this time which shocked the candidates .
Yes now it is correct, now you have written the truth value of conjunction in row 5 and 7 as False because truth value of A is False and a conjunction has truth value as True when truth vale of all its components is True. Good you got the point.
And yes for the disjunctive statement to be True when at least one of disjuncts' Truth value is true, row 2 is valid.

Exclamation please reply seniors i need help

Please specify if optional subjects with 200 marks have 33% minimum threshold or is it compulsory to secure 33 marks in both papers

For example if i attempt psychology which is 200 marks subject and i secure this result;
paper 1 : 5
Paper 2 : 70
so what is the result? its 35% or fail?

Am i considered pass or fail?? I am really confused please help?? i even called fpsc but they could not answer my question. please specify what is the rule because according to my understanding it must be a subject not an individual paper. ?? am i correct?

There is only one way of receiving the justice through court. The Fpsc will unhear your voice to hide there innocence regarding the result as every css competent know rules of 2012 exam were not followed so what happened at 2013.

Many aspirant those have more than 600 marks in aggregate failed in CSS-2013 written examination just because of replacement of 'or' with " ," (comma) in CSS-2013 rules.

CSS-2013 - RULE ABOUT QUALIFYING MARKS

The Commission with prior approval of the Government may fix qualifying marks in any or all of the subjects of the examination but a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any compulsory subject, 33% marks in any of the optional subjects , 50% marks in the Aggregate and 100 marks at the Viva Voce, will be considered to have failed and will not be eligible for appointment.

CSS-2012 - RULE ABOUT QUALIFYING MARKS

The Commission with prior approval of the Government may fix qualifying marks in any or all of the subjects of the examination but a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any compulsory subject, 33% marks in any of the optional subjects or50% marks in the Aggregate and 100 marks at the Viva Voce, will be considered to have failed and will not be eligible for appointment.

Ahan so you think Fps obey the rules but I totally disagree. What is your opinion regarding the below statements.

CSS-2013 - RULE ABOUT QUALIFYING MARKS

The Commission with prior approval of the Government may fix qualifying marks in any or all of the subjects of the examination but a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any compulsory subject, 33% marks in any of the optional subjects , 50% marks in the Aggregate and 100 marks at the Viva Vice, will be considered to have failed and will not be eligible for appointment.

CSS-2008 - RULE ABOUT QUALIFYING MARKS

The Commission with prior approval of the Government may fix qualifying marks in any or all of the subjects of the examination but a candidate who fails to secure at least 40% marks in any compulsory subject, 33% marks in any of the optional subjects , 50% marks in the Aggregate and 100 marks at the Viva Vice, will be considered to have failed and will not be eligible for appointment.

Well that's strange 2008 and 2013 are same so why AMMARh MUBARIK 2008 got selected yet she was failed in optional. I'm waiting for some one to prove me wrong.
