Default Those who are going for their 3rd attempt

AOA.. I am going to the ground with only 1 wicket in hand so, i am trying to change the strategy that i have opted in the last two matches. Allah knows what will happen but i will be satisfied that i opted every possible option. Besides, i guess traditional ways, particularly for CSS, are not working.

So dear friends, please share your strategy for your third attempt. Are you going for the attempt in the same way or changing your direction? your comments will be more then welcomed and infact it will increase our knowledge about different strategies that may be opted for attempting the CSS papers.

Well as far as your wicket approach is concerned i have 2 wickets in hand ..On a serious note i would definitely try to share my reviewed strategy.
1.your approach towards compulsory subjects should be passing them, not topping them.In this regard one should give last 10-20 days only to english, enhancing writing skills, increasing vocabulary and writing essays (atleast 10)
2.the second most important thorn is islamiat which can take you to the bottom.
3.Once these two areas have been covered, getting remaining 120 marks GK should be associated with immense preperation of EDS because can snatch you marks rather than CA OR PA
4.for optionals please stick to the syllabus. It has been observed that student approaches the optionals like he did in school, college i.e covering say 6 out of 8 topics. This strategy might not be applicable to CSS exam.
THAnks,
hoping for your last wicket victory

thanks yar.. but the situation is much complicated. You do not know how examiners are analyzing and then marking the paper. It means one does not know the criteria e.g some csps say that writing more and more is a good approach while some say that be specific, and the irony is they both have attained good marks in their respective papers.

The new chairman appears to be inclement in terms of FPSC's policies. firstly, No leave on Sunday in CE2014 exam / Only 238 candidates passed the written exam of CE2013.His policies ring the bell of danger. Moreoer, First tmke in the history, more than 1400 candidates have been rejected before taking their exams.
Secondly, MORE than 25000 candidates have applied for CE2014. It shows that papers are going to be and result more than it.
Subsequently, The result of CE2014 will be definitely beyond one's expectations.
Our future seems to me risky...

However im going for my second attempt but I would suggest people who have one attempt left should appear in CE-2015 because in the presence of large number of candidates this year result might not be transparent!
In 2015 you would be competing with maximum 3000 candidate owing to screening test!

After 2013 unexpected result, many were of the opinion that CE-2014 would be easy in terms of marking and paper trend, but when i saw datasheet the first thing came in my mind that CE-2014 is probably going to be toughest in the history. I need to give some suggestion to FPSC. They know the state of education in Pakistan and CSS exam is in totally contrast with that. They should enhance the education level in the country or else bring their standard down. Is this exam for the both middle and elite class? I really doubt. By raising their standard and making schedule more and more tough, it seems middle and lower middle class are being eliminated.

Whatever the criteria of the exam is they should at least interview 3 candidates against 1 seat as per international norms and standard it will really ameliorate the vows of candidates belonging to all strata of the society

Dear Aspirants,
CSS is all about common sense nothing more nothing less. Do your best leave the rest. You are required to have a degree of confidence in you thats all. you must be sure of one thing that you might have developed a capacity of understanding whatever has been asked in the papers and answering it as per requirement.

All the best..
