No outline isn't calculated it is just a framework for the checker to pick understanding of the topic easily rather reading all the paper.

Precise writing is the technique that can be learned through practice as there are several books that are available in the market to study them and allocate your major time in practicing as it make you more efficient.

Essay writing need plenty of practice and the usage of words in a way that checker can find it interesting. So choosing words and writing efficiently will lead you towards good score.

For the precis one should focus on sifting of the main points from the passage and try to represent the passage in a more precise way for the better understanding of the passage.

For precise writing one must understand title of the topic very cleverly as the title of passage will predict the checker that one has understand the topic well and will offer you good score. So don't ignore the writing title of the passage as it has less score but has more emphasize to the checker.

How much space should one allocate for the outline prior to starting one's essay? I remember allocating half a page below the space where one's not supposed to write and half a page above the page where I actually started my essay (I was being extra cautious not to waste any space since the invigilators had announced not to waste any and it was the first exam of my first attempt so I was a bit bogged down by the occasion).
At the end the outline was not as exhaustive as the ones I've come across on this forum. I'll be honest, it also looked like the outline was more of an "after-thought" after having penned down the essay. I am fairly satisfied with the content but can this error cost me the exam? :/

Almost 1250 words in 2013 got 51 marks.
