Default Change in Syllabus and Past Paper Pattern Trends:
Q1) My question is that does the syllabus for CSS examinations change?
If yes, then a) how frequently? or after how long? b) which subjects went through change in syllabus? (like compulsory or elective? or both? any specific subjects in both categories?
If no, then why not?

Q2)how many years' worth of past papers should we try to attempt?

The last time the CSS syallabus underwent changes was in 2007-2008 when the Late Gen.Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani was the FPSC Chairman.

There are reports that there will be changes in the syallbus for CSS 2016.

As regards attempting the past papers, the more the merrier. But, as a rule of the thumb, you should be pretty satisfied with your preparation if you have attempted last 5 years exam papers.
