Default Confused about grouping.

I have just started out with CSS prep. Can someone please tell me if we are allowed to choose just one subject from one group?

If thats true, then its a bummer. I wanted to choose both public administration and governance and policy making. I don't get whats the point of not letting people sit for both thse subjects.

Simple Rule, one subject from each group, except group 2, where you can opt two subjects each carrying 100 marks. But, the subjects you considered fall in group 3. Good Luck!

Simply, a subject of 200 marks from group 1, a subject of 200 marks or two subjects of 100 marks from group 2 and only one subject of 100 marks can be opted from group 3,4,5,6 and 7 each. You can't opt a single subject of 100 marks from group 2 or two subjects from any other group simultaneously.

We have to complete 600 marks from optional subjects. For that we have groups with conditions. It does not mean we have to choose a subject or two from every group

"Public Administration with Special Reference to Pakistan" by Sultan Khan. This book has been widely used for many a year for the preparation of P.A. After regrouping, some new concepts have been included in syllabus. But, this book is still included in Recommended Books List by FPSC. So, buy this book and consult it. For some concepts, you can use newspaper articles and net surfing. you may also use any other book at later stages, but, this book should be used as a core text book purpose. It's easy and brief too.
