CSS2016 Aspirant Diary
Today is 17th April 2016. I visited FPSC website and found new syllabus for my last attempt.
PAS is my passion therefore I give CSS more importance than job. In 2012, I had completed my MBA. I had started preparation for CSS 2014. I had studied and analysed many subjects. Finally I had opted Psychology, Arabic, Punjabi & Journalism. I had made lot of efforts to qualify the exam but couldn't. I tried to forget CSS2014 result and started preparation for CSS2015. This time I opted Psychology, Geography, Punjabi and Mercantile Law. My exams were gone good and I was planning to take last attempt with my previous combination. But today I have found that I have to work again from scratch due to new syllabus. I can't skip CSS 2016 attempt due to age factor. I also can't wait for CSS2015 result.I have to take it anyway. Therefore I am starting CSS 2016 journey from now. I know that I have to make more efforts than previous attempts due to following factors. 1. It is my last chance. 2.Past papers are not available. 3.Readymade books and notes are not available. 4. Marks trends are not aI vailable. 5. Date Sheet is not available. 6. I have to study many new subjects. 7.I have to manage time because time is too short. 8.Passing criterion for GK can change therefore I have to put extra efforts for Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs. |
رات کے دو بج گےء لیکن نیند کا کچھ پتہ نھیں.شائد یہ پریشانی ھے یا پھر احساس ذمہداری.
I know that I have to finalise my subjects and for this I have to study new syllabus. But I am afraid that I will have to opt Accounts & Audit and Business Administration this time. I had not wanted to take huge risk of figures in previous attempts but this time I have limited options.
This time css examination approach would be entirely different; no past papers, a stop to scoring and non-scoring trend, addition of new but lengthy subjects, and non-traditional preparation. I am a bit horrified by such all-of-sudden reforms by FPSC. But anyway, If one is determined and focused, it would prove ineffective to zero. This is going to be my first and a little confidently last one. :)

After Changing of syllabus i am also looking for Accounting and Auditing because there are no other option

صبح بخیر۔
18-04-2015 Exam Alert: 305 Days remaining! Day 01: Subject Selection There can be 2 combinations. First one is based on my previous studies. 1. Accounts and Audit 2. Business Administration 3. Mercantile Law 4. Punjabi/ Psychology 5. IndoPak History Second one is based on just wish to study new subjects. 1. International Relations 2. Anthropology 3. Criminology 4. Gender Studies 5. Governance and Public Policies First one looks boring but scoring.Second one looks interesting. If it would be my first attempt then definately I would go with second combination. But as it is my last chance therefore I have to consider all pros and cons of both combinations. |
First wave of thought came to my mind after going through the whole syllabus is, I'm not made for CSS. It would remain a dream - unfulfilled dream. But later after a few sheds of tear, I mustered up my courage. Again consulted the syllabus, devised the scheme to go through this trial. Convinced my heart and brain for this scornful task. Nonetheless, it proved that FPSC has a stock of fully nonsense policy makers. No doomsday was coming if they publish it w.e.f.CE-2017. Well in fact, they need researchers not officers.

Optional
May Be Political Science 200 Public Administration 100 Islamic History & Culture 100 Philosophy 100 Sociology 100 or Punjabi 100 Revising syllabus is totally mindless act by FPSC :cry |
new grouping and revised syllabus have turned my mind ... i am unable to select my optionals ... their ill strategies would prove to be disastrous for our future now ...

Comparison of Punjabi Syllabus:
I have just compared new syllabus of Punjabi with old syllabus and I found that there is 50% new syllabus. Therefore I am not going to opt it because it is also out of the PMS Syllabus. |
Comparison of Accounts and Audit:
I have deeply studied previous and new syllabus of this subject. I am afraid that new syllabus is more tough. Old syllabus was from Bcom and MCom. But I think new syllabus is from CMA and CA. Now one has to study auditing standards, accounting standards and Financial Reporting. Therefore I drop the idea of opting this subject because now risk factor in Accounts and Audit is greater than past. |
