Default Not IR but all.

CSS has become a lot more difficult, so stop wasting any further time on the forum or any other activity, crack open your books and STUDY!!!!!

Even if you study you'll still fail, so go an extra mile. Most people say that CSS is more luck and less hardwork. But my mate Louis Pasteur said Luck favours the prepared mind. I repeat: Luck favours the prepared mind.
Not only IR, but almost all of 200 subjects are risky. Political science, Economics, Physics, Chemistry including IR are fatal without due preparation.

Political Science is secure with Constitutional Law. IR is more risky.

It is not sane to spread horror about any subject before hand. With due respect, remember that FPSC has remained unpredictable. So, saying IR is risky or people opting it are likely to fail is not appropriate.

I have opted IR twice and according to my humble understanding, it has been a kind subject. One should have a grip on global affairs.

There are no option left for opting IR,for such candidates who have neither science background nor commerce background.
Might be expected that IR subject are most opting in ce-2016.
I analyzed one thing that the people who have a little bit background in other subjects are avoided from IR.

I also second Miss Malik that IR is not that much difficult when one will be cognizant of the issues. Moreover, I am shocked to see Budda and Exclusively (two worthy members of the forum) causing fear among the aspirants which can easily deviate and discourage any CSS candidate. Both of you have done commendable work in this forum, I also follow and read your posts keenly. You are free to give your view guys but plz exercise caution. I do believe that IR paper is a difficult one to crack. But it doesn't mean that 90 percent will fail or whoever opt this subject will fail. English Essay paper is considered as the toughest paper. Majority of the candidates did not take pass-marks but it does not mean that everyone fails in this paper. (Exclusively himself said that he had qualified essay paper twice.) The crux is that one can qualify CSS exam is he/she will display true mettle. All papers are difficult and have to be dealt accordingly. In the end, I agree wiht what Buddha said earlier and will further add that the concept of smart-work has come to its culmination, only hard-working candidates will succeed in this race.
