If not managed it will certainly create cities and regions of conflicts of many kind (these will then be discussed at length). It's a curse as in cities where transportation patters are encouraging car dependency. This will make a community with social, environmental, and economical problems. Why is it a blessing? Needs of the communities may be catered with organized/anticipated/managed urbanization. You can provide for public with less investments in infrastructure. Biggest example is cities are engines of economic growth, and not the rural areas.
That's pretty much what I said in my post.

However, even though people followed this technique, they still couldn't score higher.

That is indeed an amazing score in TPUM.

Can you kindly ask your friend where did she prepare Town Planning from?

Well, I cleared CSS-2016 Alhumdulillah and had TPUM as one of my optional subjects. One of my closest friends also cleared CSS-2016 and he had also chosen TPUM. Both of us happen to be Civil Engineers.

I think it will be a bit premature on our part to share our strategies about TPUM as we don't know how much we scored. It could be 33, 63 or 83 for all we know. So anything I say might not work for you as it did for me. Once the final result is declared, I will happily share my TPUM score and strategy with everyone.

What I will say is that we studied TPUM as a 3-credit-hour course during our BE degree and that background knowledge helped a lot. We just had to go through our lectures and PDFs provided by our teacher in NUST and most of the things kept coming back.

Be patient. Please follow the study pattern of the person who posted his DMC and had 64 marks in TPUM. Or better yet, get the guy who scored 83 to share his strategy

@antalpur I disagree, although I haven't taken CSS exams but If I were to attempt this question,I'd have taken a balanced approach.Look at it this way, taking extremes in any situation is ususally not the right way to go about anything.Urbanization is not a black and white concept,it is actually a spectrum, where you should maintain a balance.
Given the nature of this topic I am positive, there are academics out there arguing for and against urbanization and a good approach would be to present both sides of the story and then if one side appears more appealing to you, only then should you introduce it as superior to its alternative.

I don't know how candidates attempted this question or what sources they referred to for preparing the subject. A clear picture of their preparation and attempt may shed light for their failure, but it seems everyone is so taken aback that they are not willing to discuss on this matter.
dear yoy are right. i attempted the same question starting with intro then def of urbanization. i explained both sides supported with facts and figures. i remained neutral in this question. my answer for this question is of about 4.5 pages
