Yes brother this is the only option we r left with ... Pl ask ur other friends to send petitions by post ... The more , the better ... I am sure a large number of petitions would force them into action ...

The person who has initiated the thread, dear Jamal, I understand the pain and agony you are going through. However, I would urge you sit back with a chill pill and do little self stock taking. I have been through your essay and posts, I have seen your English language expression, the way you articulate your thoughts and express your ideas, I'm sorry to say but your expression is seriously flawed. Your text is replete with syntactical and structural flaws. Your expression reflects indianism which is a commonplace euphemism used for subcontinent people who do not express their thoughts in functional English rather just literally translate from Urdu to English, for example; you use future auxiliary twice for a conditional sentence which is wrong, we use one present auxiliary and one future. There are many mistakes that you make in reflecting your actual thought process.

You also have to work on your ideas, and more importantly how you organize them in an effective manner. Your essay is very disconnected with banal expression and disconnected thoughts. Getting an essay published in JWT is not a big deal, CSS is a different ball game. I just want you to focus on these gaps, once you fill them, you will achieve invincible success.

About your accusations on FPSC, I give you my word that no deserving person is deliberately failed. I have many people who appeared with good preparation and they passed, my own sister who is already a CSP serving in OMG has passed. I urge you to understand that this is not a degree awarding exam where the examiner must pass you if you have performed above average, rather here you have to make sure that you don't let the examiner fail you. Try to understand that this is a competitive exam for recruiting best of the best, they cannot condone such blunders which do not commensurate with the standards of Central Superior Services, you want them to grade you just on the basis of self proclaimed performance, no boy, they would penalize you for your mistakes.

So people, rather asking the FPSC to behave like B.I.S.E Lahore, you must acquire that prowess that you can prove yourself equal to the task.

Best of luck and apologies to all.
Dear sir you are absolutely right. Let me share with you a tiny piece of information. when kp topper of 2015, merit no. 23, was going for ctp, he wrote on his wall: adios Peshawar. Likewise merit no.9, 2014, writes like this: he is a man that wants to.... 😋

@Tenacious thanks for pointing out my flaws.

Dear Zealot, FPSC conducts exams on federal level. There are provincial public service commissions who conduct exams for every province separately, so no need to mention this issue.

I have finalized the petition. Inshallah tomorrow will dispatch to Senate public petition cell. My request to all friends is that they also send petitions. Please attach your CNIC copy and mention your name, CNIC number, PTCL number, mobile number, postal address, and E-mail address on the petition.

Postal address to send petition is:

Deputy Secretary, (Public Petition Table) Senate Secretariat, Parliament House, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Specimen of the petition is:

Mr. Raza Rabbani, Chairman Senate, Islamic Republic of Pakistan

Subject: Petition to bring reforms in Central Superior Services of Pakistan.

Respected sir,

I have to state that government has brought admirable reforms in the syllabus of prestigious CSS exams. But still there is a dire need to bring reforms in the whole Competitive Examination's procedure.

At the time of Rana Bhagwandas the passing ratio of candidates in written part of competitive examination was 8 to 9 percent, but in CE 2016 the passing ratio was only 2 percent. It does not mean that the abilities of highly qualified youth of Pakistan have been reduced, but FPSC decides the passing ratio before examination to reduce burden for the interview panel. As written part is the screening step for interview, so brilliant aspirants may not be deprived while screening a large number of candidates. In CE 2016 many talented doctors, engineers, lawyers, psychologists, and M.Phil scholars flunked in written part, if they would be passed, then they would serve the motherland in a better way.

On the other hand, there is no any procedure of rechecking of papers. There is only one option which is recounting, in which answer sheets are never shown to the aggrieved candidate while referring it as a secret document. There should be proper rechecking, not recounting, while showing the answer sheet to the candidate.

Respected sir, my request to you is that please bring reforms in the whole CSS procedure. Instead of targeting one or two papers to fail the candidates, all those who performed well in the examination should be passed in written part. Those who could not allocate in twelve prestigious groups of Central Superior Services should be adjusted in other 17 scale jobs. While doing so, there would be no need to advertise and conduct examinations for other 17 scale jobs. Mostly one paper MCQs tests are conducted for 17 scale jobs, other than CSS, in which the true abilities could not be judged properly. If those candidates will be allocated in 17 scale jobs who will pass 12 papers of 100 marks each, but would not be allocated in Superior Services, then the most competent youth will serve the country. As in Bangladesh there are cadre services and Non-cadre services. Who could not be allocated in cadre services are adjusted to 1st class Non-cadre posts.

Respectfully Sheweth,

Jamal Abdul Nasir

@jamalnasir.....

Present Fpsc chairman, Naveed Akram Cheema, is an honest and a candid person.

So please also send him the same stuff.

i hope he will really take some serious steps against the real culprits (like Nargis sethi) for such a disgusting and so discombobulating result.

Jamal and others

That's not good, you do not harken to my sincere advice. I had told you to work on your own flaws and become too best to be ignored by FPSC. This is sheer ignominy on your part that instead of raising yourself to these standards where you can ace the exam, you are asking FPSC to lower their standards. You are treading on wrong path and instigating others to do the same.

As a civil servant myself, I would never want the FPSC to lower their standards to that of Board exams where people are securing 99% marks, this is a competitive exam for God sake, they do not grade you for little thing you have put on the paper, rather they penalize you for the blunders you make. The examiners is tasked with failing all those who are not commensurate with the level of CSS.

I would reiterate my advice to all of you. Please do focus on your mistakes. Instead of asking the mountain top to come down to earth, climb the mountain and reach the top; former is impossible but later can be made possible with your hard work and commitment.

Due to some rubbish amendments in fpsc constitutional framework in previous years, now Chairman doesn't enjoys much authority like past.He has to c0-work & to share his core powers with those 10 members, who are directly appointed by P.M.

And unfortunately, Some members being raw operators, are trying their best to dismantle the core functions of fpsc.

But still we should be hopeful that .....chairman will take all possible & indispensable initiatives for the betterment of this prime institution.

There is nothing in this thread except a snapshot of a Facebook post. Does it corroborate any accusation that you people are making?

sir, if you dont believe your senior then why should we believe your words?
The drastic fall in success ratio, failure of a thousand candidates in a row-all these reveal that we are given engineered result.

@all I am done with my attempts still I sent my petition just to ensure that the whole process is made transparent.
send as maximum petitions as you can so nobody dares to play with your aspirations. Otherwise you are liable to be bullied in 2017, 18 and so on.
