Css 2017
I want to appear for CE 2017. The problem is that i am a student and i dont understand how should i do it along side my studies. I mean how many hours should i give to CE preparation? Should i go with the optionals first or as i like? Would it be possible for me to get through and make it?

Follow these steps. You preparation will be in a coherent manner, without skipping or avoiding the best in your degree studies.
1. Buy and read JWorldTimes Magazine each month. This will give you the best possible content and knowledge. 2. Try to build your habit studying an English Newspaper, esp. editorial, opinion and international pages. You may consult Dawn or the Nation on regular basis. But, just be the reader of one newspaper in particular. 3. Start your preparation from compulsory. Then, select your optional wisely. Taking some experienced one's guidance would be highly valuable in this matter. 4. Preparation means? What I want to say is that you need not to prepare each and everything from the start. Just buy single important book for each subject.Select the book from FPSC recommended list. For example, read "Islami Nazriye-e Hayat" for Islamic Studies. Then move towards the next subject. Read "Pakistan's Foreign Policy" by Abdul Sattar for Pak and Current Affairs. Next consult Wren & Martin's book for English grammar and so on. After this process, you will just need to consult notes or short books fro just preparation . At that time, you would also be relaxed from your Degree studies.

If you are already enrolled in another course, just focus on that first. No need to put unnecessary burden on yourself.
After the completion of degree there will be enough time to prepare for CSS Sent from my T757 using Tapatalk

After knowing abc of English grammar, as suggested by many members, Try to write something every day. This writing will make you able to clear Essay paper, The most difficult paper considered by aspirants, and also help you to attempt other papers, for mostly papers are in English.
That was for your css. But the course that you are studying in university or college must be the first priority.

Senior members help please
I am planning to appear in ce2017 but the main problem I am facing is how to select one book for each subject. How can I choose one book from the list given in syllabus. Looking at the topics of each subject, I don't think that I will find all the topics in one book. It's my request to all senior members to guide me a little about course books |

This question has already been asked by many aspirants on this forum. The amount of time one need to dedicate to the CSS preparation varies from one person to another, but 4-5 hours a day for 4-5 months should be enough. However, quality must precede quantity on your priority list. Good Luck!
