CE 2017 Final Result Announced
Subject: - FINAL RESULT OF COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION (CSS), 2017 FOR RECRUITMENT TO POSTS IN BS-17 UNDER FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. The roll numbers and names of 310 candidates, who have finally qualified the CSS Competitive Examination 2017, are given below in order of merit. Out of them 261 have been recommended by the FPSC for appointment to posts in BS-17 under the Federal Government in the Groups/Services mentioned against each:- No.F.2/4/2018-CE. Merit No. Roll No. Name Domicile Group/Service allocated
2. Ms. Afeerah Javed Khan, Roll 10160 could not qualify the Viva Voce. However, Ms. Zeb Un Nisa Nasir, Roll No.7566 remained absent in Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce. 3. It may be noted that:- i. Marks obtained by the candidates will be displayed on the FPSC’s website in due course of time. ii. Success in this examination confers no right to appointment, which will be subject to verification of character and antecedents as required under Civil Servants Act, 1973 and rules made there under. iii. Every care has been taken to ensure accuracy and correctness in compilation of the above result. However, the Commission reserves the right of rectifying any error and omission etc. at any time. 4. The salient features of the result are as under:- Candidates appeared in written examination : 9391 Pass in written examination : 312 Candidates finally qualified after Viva Voce : 310 Male Candidates : 199Pass percentage of finally qualified candidates : 3.30 Candidates recommended for appointment : 261 Male Candidates : 1555. All the recommended candidates are directed to contact Section Officer (T-V) Establishment Division, Islamabad for further correspondence.

310 candidates in the merit lost. However, 261 have been recruited for appointments. What about the remaining non-recruited candidates?

Congratulations to all the candidates. I hope that all of you go on to serve the nation with honesty.
Firstly only 312 candidates cleared the written exam, so even if the seats were 484 they can't all be filled. Secondly, the majority of the candidates are from Punjab, but the seats of Punjab were less (50%). That is why some of these candidates were not allocated to any group and only 261 candidates were allocated. Hope this answers your question.

Alhumdulillah, got allocated to IRS, merit no. 103. DMCs are not yet available on the FPSCs website. I have somehow managed to know my marks in the viva; 196 they are.
