Default Question: How to select CSS Optional Subjects?

Can anyone tell me how this system of optional subjects work? Like in 2nd group it says: Select subject(s) of 200 marks only.

Does that mean I have to select 2 subjects of 200 marks TOTAL (100m ea) or I can select just 1 subject of 100 marks. Is that possible?

Example: Will it be ok to pick Geology of 100 marks from this group? (JUST 1 subject)

Group-II: (To select subject(s) of 200 marks only)

16. Physics 200
17. Chemistry 200
18. Applied Mathematics 100
19. Pure Mathematics 100
20. Statistics 100
21. Geology 100

No you can't, the thing that is confusing you is instructions on Grp 1 and Grp 2

Group-I: (To select one subject of (200 marks) only

Group-II: (To select subject(s) of 200 marks only)

here one has to understand that in Grp 1 all subjects carry equal marks i.e. 200 each while in grp 2 first two are of 200 marks while next 4 are of 100 marks each so in short you can't opt geology alone, you have to select another subject of 100 marks from the same Grp to complete procedure, if you don't then your admission will be rejected.
