4 months are enough for CSS Exams preparation?

Assalam-o-alaikum.
Dear all,
I am a new aspirant of CSS and started CSS Exam preparation just 1 day ago. I do not have command over English language. So, I am in dilemma that whether I could be able to prepared myself within 4 months or not. I did not join any academy and completely relaying on forum for guidelines and materials.

Walaikum Salam.
4 months are more than enough for preparation. Follow the syllabus and past papers. However, get your essays and precis checked by a qualified person(someone who knows about the css ways) so that you may know how much you need to improve.

Well to be candid, if you have plenty of age left then it would be considered as "foolish" to appear in the CE with inadequate preparation. So if you don't have further options then go for it with smart study preparation which could not be measured by hours of study, which needs you ability to grasp the important topics and prepare them well.

As there are are only four months left, how many hours one should study a day in this four months period?

It depends on your curiosity and if you have not enough chances. I have quit my job and will start preparation from next months. On realistic grounds, it can only be possible by marshaling all your input - 14 hours at least. Make a habit to read Dawn Newspaper daily. Alongside maintain a register to jot down notes and vocabulary. Make mind boxes for grammar rules and verify them from newspaper.
Notwithstanding the above, your aptitude and strong knowledge of optional subjects is mandatory. In this way you are required to give less time on optional and able to concentrate on compulsory.

i think after studying too many books you have enough vocab, you have no need to study dawn news paper for that, and 1 think more i don't think so that anyone can absorb 14 hours study daily :P be frank work hard and 8 hours daily study are enough :)

Miss! I do not know what your strengths are but what I would suggest is: Focus on English papers (Essay and Composition) because believe you me, in the end, these two papers will decide your overall result. Go to any good English teacher and get your daily work checked. For all other subjects, just follow the syllabus, read articles relevant to the topics on internet. In sha ALLAH, You will be able to prepare well in these 4 months :)

I think four months is more than enough time to prepare for the exam, anyone studying a day over is putting too much time and effort.

I firmly believe that the essence of the exam should be to judge the candidates overall ability/knowledge and not what he/she has crammed in the previous few months and years.

Cramming everything there is to cram and appearing in the exam is something I don't really understand. The nature of the exam and the way students prepare for it (study for months or even years) is a key reason of decline in quality of civil servants i.e. less knowledge/ability more cramming ability/ability to act as a machine.
