You will cover it, don't worry as getting worry will afflict your preparation. Study your best. Its not final exam of your life.

starting from today

Well I am surfing through this forum and felt scary to see that aspirants are still lagging behind to cover the syllabus for CE 18. On the other hand I am starting my preparation for CE 18 from today ( I don't know why) , selected my subjects and motivated myself that why not me if others can do in two and half months while i have 4 months ahead of me .
Can someone help me by telling if I have maintained my reality contact regarding my thoughts or I should not waste my time and wait for next chance .I don't know about this condition , i am feeling like optimistically confused . :haha

There is nothing to worry. I too started my preparation in October. But as I am covering more and more syllabus, the pace is increasing. I covered WWI in a complete week :D But today, I have almost covered part II of IR. So, just focus and relax. In local words "Jitna parhtay jao ge dimagh khulta jaey ga" :D

And here I am still not sure about two of my optionals and haven't started the preparation of the rest either.

But I believe that 3.5 months is a fair amount of time for the preparation as I have a very good idea of most subjects. The only subjects I am worried about are Islamic Studies and English (both Essay and Precis) despite having fairly decent English because passing English seems to depend a lot on your luck than your writing skills/grip over the language.

I am also starting my prep from tomorrow. Going out now to buy some books. My main worries are Pak and Islamic studies. Essay of course is an issue as well but I at least feel motivated to work on that.

Optionals are IR, Pure and App Math, US History and Criminology.

I also think 3.5 months are enough(though not recommended). If your English basics aren't good, then you need much more time.

Those who are starting preparation for exam from now or have started some days back please share your preparation strategy of each subject. Are you guys preparing one subject at one time or are preparing two at the same time? Also how many hours you are studying?

strategy for IR

And particularly Strategy for IR . As it has one of the most comprehensive course. One Think is clear that I have to go through most important topics but what are those and how to prioritize them is definitely a challenging job.
Please guide
Thank you
