The last question in the GSA paper today!
So the last question was to decode the LANDMINE if it is coded as PYRBOGRC. So doing some google search, I found the source. Now apparently the code there is PYRBQGRC, not the one given in the exam.
Apparently I couldn't post the link here but if you google: "In a certain code language LANDMINE is written", with the quotation marks included, it is the first link. leads to a book. So basically it was impossible to solve this question, as these codes follow a specific pattern which one has to decode. The method for this question is given a few pages down the link if you look at it. There was no way to solve this question! HOW IS THIS FAIR! IT WAS FOR 5 FREAKIN marks!!!!! Not to mention the spelling mistakes in the mcqs. Seriously. Very disappointed. |
Question was totally easy. There was pattern of plus 4 and minus 2 with each alternative alphabet respectively. There was one mistake which was corrected by invigilating staff.
You had to add four alphabets in 1,3,5 & 7 alphabet and subtract 2 from 2,4,6 & 8 alphabet. It was straight forward. |

PRYBQGRC
Fifth alphabet was Q not O. It was corrected in my centre. It effected the sequence as well as the answer. |
They didn't do so in our center.
|
There was no such correction in hall 14 karachi.
|
in the paper it was O so that should be accepted?
|
If you have identified the pattern and was aware about the mistake, they can give you marks but due to mistake if pattern was not identified, people will lose marks.
|
Well, yeah they didn't correct it at ours.
|
hence, LMPCOYHC is acceptable if we've shown how so
