May be this time we don't have to wait till October. My Friend has a friend who has a friend in the commission and may be this is weak source but thats what we got. He told that marking has been done and result is in compilation process. As soon as gen. Recruitment phases are completed uptill 18 sept i guess, all efforts will be on announcement of css result, that will be most probably in last two weeks of sept.. Please be seated comfortably and again its a weak connection, might be a work of satire.

The last two times the result was on 5th and 4th October. So I am assuming this time too it will be on Friday 5th October.

If it comes earlier that's a bonus.

Anyone else nervous

one of my friends took 740 marks in CSS2016, failing precis with just three marks. Another friend of mine ,holding masters degree in IR, got allocated having 66 marks in IRI and IRII. reason for telling this is to not worry; you can pass Css with 600 marks and you can also get fail taking 750 marks ....then one shouldnt worry for something that is not in ones hand

Circulating on whatsapp, "The result is ready to be announced. 500+ students are passed. At present, it is in the process of rechecking of enteries. DMCs have been generated. Will be uploaded within 2 weeks. Chairman FPSC is going to be retired in Sep. So, result will be announced, in any case, before his retirement".

The news regarding the announcement of result before 28th September is in town these days. I almost forgot about my attempt this year but yesterday when I heard somebody saying that result will be announced soon, I felt adrenaline rush and every single drop of blood in my veins struggled to pop out. Since then, the thought of result has been frequently pinching me as a highly unwanted guest. The result is, at this hour in the night, I don't know why but I am posting my thoughts here. May be it's a catharsis or something but I wish all the best to the aspirants of CE-2018. May the witch goddess of success demand less sacrifices this time.

500+ students?? Are you sure?? I mean every year only 200+ students manage to pass the exam.

The more the rumors the greater the anxiety.
I just checked the result dates since 2010. Not a single result was announced in September, they even came as late as 28th of November.

500+ dilemma might have some logic,, as I see, for past 5 or 6 years I guess, the number of passing candidates is less than the vacant positions. So if one can accumulate the the unfilled vacancies of all those years of declined results, than he must have a huge number this year to fill. These vacancies may or may not have been brought before public, that might create a huge bulge.... Keeping this in mind fpsc might have adopted an approach of lenient marking this year..... thats all I can contribute to BUKHAAR of CSS RESULT.

Aptly put. I concur, fpsc has increased the passing ratio this time to adjust the vacant vacancies of the previous years.
