Well I love physics, and have always been good in it. My educational background is engineering.
I prepared physics from Fundamental of Physics by Haliday Resnick (extended version with modern physics). For the paper 1 Vector portion, I consulted advanved mathematics for engineers but any good book with vectors would do. You may ask me for further queries. Sent from my LLD-L21 using Tapatalk |

Well, I too am an engineer fond of physics but I have been reluctant to opt it because of its low scoring trend. You have performed distinctly and seeing your marks, I feel motivated and have finally decided to opt it. 1. Firstly, I have a question about Haliday Resnik book(ext), whether or not it covers the whole syllabus. 2. Secondly, kindly tell me something you did while preparing for and attempting the paper, that you feel was conducive to your success in it. |

Be careful to opt for physics at this time if you are going for css-2019 because time is short now .Physics sucks in a lot of time..If this brother has scored above 140 ,he must have prepared it excellently . I am not discouraging you .But November is not the time to opt for physics . I have prepared physics twice .i Know my subject.

Precisely, 11 Mcqs were correct. Subjective part was a bit tricky as it required a deeper understanding of various events/issues in the European History. I was able to decode and attempt just because I had that basic understanding. Thanks to the hardwork that i had put in European History during my M.Sc in IR. |

In my case, i completed about 75 percent of the book. However, a lot depends on what you know already, for example I already knew most of the thermodynamics, all the mechanics and fluid mechanics. 2) I wrote the answers to the point. I was very concise, and I clearly wrote the conclusion/assumptions/equations where ever necessary. I didn't write two lines for something for which a word would suffice. For example, on the topic of relativity, the examiner asks quite simple questions such as the postulates of special relativity, or the derivation of length contraction and time dilation using lorentz transformation, which is quite simple if you study. The vector portion is also really easy and straightforward. Examiner like to ask about second law of thermodynamics. In paper 2, the questions on electromagnetism are quite straightforward, and somewhat repetitive. If you look at the past papers, you'll figure it out, I am sure.
