Reason:
Syllabus is short
Easy to Understand
Scoring
Help in Essay & Current affairs
Indo-Pak is controversial
many more

But i never studied or listened about US history..but in case of indo pak history atleast i have background knowledge from matric fsc..

I have asked several and concluded that US History is best choice. Anyways, it depends on person's aptitude.
