It's the murder of merit in FPSC.

First, please do elaborate what the 18th amendments has to do with the quota system?
Second, if you really think quota system is obsolete, then equal economic opportunities should be provided to all provinces. Do not you see development difference between Punjab and other provinces?
I am not against any province, but it is clear from our history that Punjab was in favor of equal distribution of resources in the NFC when we had east Bengal, due to the latter’s larger population. Surprisingly, after 1971, Punjab wanted population-based formula due to Punjab’s larger population, which was earlier denied to the Bengalis.
Fourth, for instance, if open merit is ensured and there are 200 seats, if all seats are captured by the students of KPK, what will be your reaction?

Please answer if you think quota system is bad. I suggest you to look at quota system from the perspective of the Muslim League’s demand of separate electorate, which was a type of quota system for reserved seats for the Muslims. Hope you understand.

I would answer all your questions one by one, so here we go
1.Quota system and 18th amendment,
To understand what 18th amendment has to do with quota system you need to understand what quota system is all about. It was introduced for the first time in
1973 for the sole purpose of giving representation to backwards areas of Pakistan in federal jobs (Who was in power in 1973 you know it very well). Coming directly to the answer, after 18th amendment education is purely a provincial subject then why don't provinces spend on education ? Don't cry fool for least finances. You don't need to have billion of dollars to free your schools from being donkey/cattle farms.
2.Equal economic opportunities
The same ruling party which introduced the quota system has dominated the country's Politics and has been in power multiple times and it belongs to Sindh province. It has the longest tenure in country's democratic government, why didn't it create equal financial opportunities or even safeguard its own province from economic exploitation ?
3.Largest population vs Punjab
Dear it was not Punjab who opposed and denied population based formula it was again PPP the master mind of exploitation and the engineer of the flawed quota system. Bhutto's lust for power caused East-Pakistan debacle.
4. If Kpk occupy all seats
If open merit is enured and KPK, Sindh or Balochistan occupy all seats it will be the victory of merit and of the most deserving candidates. We will celebrate with them.
5. Muslim league vs quota system
It was not a debate of merit, league wanted reserved seats because of ideological differences.

Note: I am not here to defend Punjab I am just a strong proponent of meritocracy.
