CSS to SCS- What are the odds?
Greetings,
How seriously should the current government's intention of revamping CSS into a 'domain-specific' exam be taken? Is this something that we can seriously expect to be put into practice as early as 2021 perhaps? Going off of just anecdotal information, i have come to know that many similar proposals were present before but failed. This one, however, is making quite a few rounds on the media and looks legitimate. Your take on it is much appreciated. Postscript: I have searched far and wide for an answer to my query on this forum, to no avail. If there's a link to a similar discussion with a somewhat definitive response, i would appreciate a link. |
Until the government task force or FPSC advertise or release any such information in this regard, I'd advise not to rely on other source(s); as it could prove lethal and counter-productive.
Here, I am attaching a link to a video, in which Arbab Shahzad (Advisor to PM on Establishment) is discussing progress of 'Civil Service Reforms Committee'. This should give you an idea about what's happening down the road. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA6KNNwUQEQ [Detailed Interview] |

No body knows the exact answer to this question. Reforms will most likely be enforced from 2021 on-wards I think. Implementation takes time. Regarding 'Civil Service Reforms Committee' progress, today I read a tweet of Nadeem Haque, Former Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, in which he wrote: "So I hear civil service reform is done. The retirement age for civil servants is being increased. They will remain in power for longer and no one can question their power. Great job. Congratulate yourself pakistan. This is reform in naya Pakistan." |

Are there any chances of age limit getting increased in the reforms? Anyone knows anything about this?
