ISLAMABAD – The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued the notice to clear the peculiarities prevailing in the minds of the Central Superior Services (CSS) aspirants set to appear in February 2016. According to sources, FPSC has issued the detail notification clearing every confusing coming in the minds of the CSS aspirants. There was this problem of as to what is the passing criteria of FPSC in the three subjects of general knowledge viz. General Science and ability, Pakistan Affairs and Current Affairs. FPSC cleared that candidates taking 120 marks collectively in these three subjects will be considered as pass. FPSC declared that there is no individual passing scores in these three general knowledge subjects. The collective passing marks for these subjects would be 120 which is to be attained in all in these three subjects.

Is the policy of getting aggregate of 120 marks in the papers of General Knowledge (General Science & Ability, Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs) is still effective?

Answer:
It is not mandatory to pass GK papers separately. Papers of General Knowledge (General Science & Ability, Current Affairs and Pakistan Affairs) are to be passed collectively by scoring 120 marks out of 300.

Off course yes. Otherwise it would have been removed from the website, as fpsc's web team is pretty active.

well in this link it is clearly stated by FPSC that Islamic study can be opted in Urdu also in css-2016
