IS CSS Age Limit Issue settled forever???
 
[B]Event Title : Senate Discussed public petition regarding enhancing age limit for CSS examinations Published Date : May 14,2015 [/B] 14th May, 2015-

Number of public petitions were received regarding ‘Enhancement of upper age limit for CSS Examination especially for the candidates belonging to Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other under developed areas.’ The House held an extensive debate on the matter and recommended to the Government to enhance the upper age limit for all provinces. The Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs assured the Senate that Government will take steps in this regard. These petitions were disposed of in the following terms:-

“ The Senate welcomes the assurance given by the Minister that therein the Federal Government has no objection to the increase in the upper age limit for CSS examinations from 28 years to 30 years. It is in the light of this assurance, it is expected that the Federal Government shall immediately undertake the necessary amendments in the Law, number one.

The House has expressed a concern that the root of this issue is the matter of fake domiciles. Therefore, the House is after considered opinion that the Federal Government in consultation with the provincial governments take effective measures and steps to prevent the issuance of fake domiciles. The House will await a report within two months from today on the various steps taken by the Federal Government in collaboration with the Provincial Governments in this regard.

The Senate recommends to the Federal Government to effectively pursue the Constitutional Amendment Bill pertaining to Clause 1 of Article 27 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, dealing with the question of quota. So, accordingly these petitions are disposed of, the petitioners are to be informed accordingly by the Senate Secretariat.

css age relaxation
 
As the Senate has disposed off all the petitions and Govt. assured to raise the age from 28 to 30. Now its upto the Govt. as its take serious action or not

If qualification criteria is to be increased it must be accompanied by age relaxation....
