Default Abolition of some CSS Cadres

http://thenews.com.pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=7180

Please comment on its impact in general, on the country and the CSS aspirants?
Attention CSS 2008, if this decision is to be implemented before 2008.

Thinking ... props to you for posting the article. As for the consequences of the proposed reforms, the full force of these measures will only be felt after a decision has been taken in this direction and implemented. We can presume however that it is most likely to raise a number of peripheral issues, not to mention the adverse effect itll have on the careers of many prospective CSS candidates. Simultaneous abolition of several cadres is unquestionably a matter of serious concern for many among us .... but taken from another vantage point, I can't be sure if itll draw much opposition. It will infact be lauded since any amount of right-sizing will take a considerable measure of load off the national exchequer. I must admit though that even in the best of cases the proposals can be justfied only on purely utilitarian grounds ...
Without the detail, unlike the aspirants that fall within the 21-28 years age bracket, the proposals will be welcomed by those who form the progressive segment of society.
