Environment was encouraging, and they gave me 45 mins.

Ammar I didn't use any specific books except for business admin. because it was my own subject. They were Fundamentals of HRM by Decenzo, Financial management by Brigham, Management by Stephen Robbins & principles of marketing by Kotler. For Political science I downloaded some notes from this forum & except that I used to make my own notes keeping in view the trends in past papers & the syllabus. For Indo Pak history I used these websites: historypak.com, storyofpakistan.com, anicentpakistan.info. For Gender studies I just kept syllabus with me and made my notes using different websites and research articles. Just be sure that you stick to the syllabus and do go through the past papers specifically the mcqs because most of the time they are repeated. |
1000 Hours of study
Sister,
Do you think 100 hundred hours of study for subject of 100 marks and 200 hours of study for subject worth 200 marks is adequate to pass CSS with flying colors, assumption is someone already possess vast amount of vocublary and a writing style that could be compared with Dawn regular writters. Secondly,if you can give me an idea how many words you wrote before appearing in CSS(20k,40k,60k)? Advice will be sincerely appreciated! Regards, Sawan |

The interview panel listens you well and allows you to speak. Except Mr. Ahmad Farooq and Ms. Nargis Sethi (who can unsettle you), rest of the members are easy going.
Most of the questions asked invite the opinion of the candidate, based on the current affairs topics. However, my experience of 2012 was relatively better. In my case, they related to influence of Saudi Arabia, South China Sea, Junagarh (the question I dropped this time), Colonization of Japan, Whether Pakistan should adopt balanced growth or unbalanced growth, role of Statistics in current Census, Economic growth of Pakistan, Whether Gwadar/CPEC is a game changer or will result in colonization by China, politicization of bureaucracy, whether Faizabad issue was handled well or not, merits and demerits of internet etc. Rest was about my profile and prior job experiences. |
@amin shah sir your optional subjects?
