Question How to Describe oneself in an Interview?
If an interviewer ask the Question "Describe Yourself?"
How the above question should be addressed? How one could describe oneself in an Interview? Please share your noteworthy comments..

Ali its really useless to ask anything regarding interview or books recommendation in forum.. i guess very few ppl bother to answer our queries here .. there are certain 4 years back related answered u can go there in Psychological thread.

describing urself in an interview doesnt mean you start talking about ur credentials, educational back ground rather its an ammalgamation of personal infromation, education,family ect. try to summarize it in few words but describe urself in natural and composed form.cordial regards!!

"Describe yourself" is often asked in interviews of private organization. One should be clear that interviews for Gov. jobs are quite different that of other jobs. So dont generalize the "Interview" as lot of difference is found depending on where you are going to appear for interview.

Describing yourself means describing briefly;

.... where you were born and bred
.... family and father' occuption
.... early life and schooling
.... college, university education
.... any significant achievement in education, sports etc.
.... work experience (if any)
.... Hobbies, interests

Learn to speak effectivly, mix of english and urdu works well for gov. jobs.

I have prepared this question in the following way, firstly describe ur family background, from where you got your education, tell about educational achievments, your work experience if any, your aim in life, your current status and then tell something about your hobbies and interests. It is a very important question and should be prepared very well by every candidate. In answering this question keep it simple no need to flatter and show over confidence, fluency is the key.
