interview affects!
83 people were failed in interview; what could be the reason: lack of confidence, english barrier or anything else? do you have any friend who was failed or even what do you think could be the reason?

pure speculation :)
while i dont know anyone who failed in the interview (my acquaintances mostly failed in the written ) i think we can safely speculate about the possible causes..
#1. insufficient prep. (either those candidates were busy with something else OR they werent expecting to clear the written. either way weak preparation probably brought about the failure. imagine not being able to answer 10-12 questions in a row! #2 Abusive attitude (sounds surprising right? but there ARE such people who fly off the handle on certain questions. once a Baloch friend of mine admitted to losing his temper (on a question related to insurgency in his province) & using abusive language with the panel (while he didnt fail, he barely passed the interview) #3 Extremely negative psychological report (*sigh* many people believe that psychological report is not that significant. perhaps for normal (psychologically sound) candidates it might hold true.. But if the psychologists diagnose someone with serious nervous system disorder(s), the panel might feel it safe to fail the candidate to prevent his allocation. |

i know one case. because the person who gave interview before me has been failed by the panel. this guy had completed his education till B.A privately and then his masters was from punjab university.
when he entered the hall, mr BD said that you do not know how to write english , you have made so many mistakes in your psychological proforma. then he continued to bash him by saying that up til B.A you have been a private candidate and you cannot perform your duties well. the guy tried to defend himself by quoting genuine reasons like his mother was ill and he had to take care of her most of the time. but BD was too harsh towards him, which resulted in loss of confidence and he said NO to some questions and in the end while he was leaving , BD remarked that you do not know anything. the result is that he has been failed in the interview. now i do not know what to say about this failure , since many private candidates also secure good positions in CSS. |

well he did keep calm but you know if a person continues to bash you , one does lose confidence.anyways this is the failure story that i know.

you are not getting my point. i do not know why he was failed in the interview. i told you all the story that he told me after i met him. so it's up to you people to decide and guess why he was really failed. because i myself do not know the exact reason.
