Default Incorrect Height Measurement by Medical Board
Dear Friends:
Yesterday I went through medical examination at Peshawar center. There along with other measurements they measured my height too. My height is about 176 cm or about 5.8 feet. There they miscalculated it and wrote 169 cm which makes about 5.5 feet. Unfortunately I realized only later that they miscalculated my height. Does 5.5 feet height makes me eligible for all the groups including police service. I wonder if I can correct there wrong calculations later on, and can it affect me adversely in any manner or is just a formality. Waiting for suggestions and comments. Thankyou.

I dont think it matters. the minimum height for all groups, so far as i remember, is 5 feet 2 inches. and what they have recorded is well above that. so it should not matter. medical test is a formality anyway. dont worry too much about it.

Default miscalculation by u
salam...

your height has been measured correctly...as 169cm = 5.8 feet

workings:

1 inch = 2.5 cm
therefore 169cm = 67.6 inches
as 150 cm = 60 inches = 5 feet
now remaining 19 cm = 7.6 inches ( 19/2.5)

so 169 cm = 5 feet 8 inches and not 5 feet and 5 inches...

Dear Force of Attraction: Thank you for the calculations. But when I calculate 169 cm on any online conversion calculators, i always get 5.54 feet, and this is how they also calculated my height. Any way, thanks again and take care.

1 inch = 2.54 cm
169 cm = 66.5 inches
66.5 inches = 5 ft 6.5 inches

I m 167 but i m not 5' 8".

Dear last island...u r right that 1 inch = 2.54 cm but if you look at the normal foot...it consists of 30 cm... tht fraction tht u mentioned is not used for measuring the heights of human beings...
n if u r measuring the heights of microbials, then u r at full liberty to use 1inch as 2.54 cm...

as far as zarathusra...i expect u to be human being ...n still if u go with the last island accurate calculation, u r 5 feet n 6.5 inches n not 5.5...so dont worry at all...
