Eye sight problem: kindly help
 

Hello all,

I have passed CSS written 2012. But i am having tensions about my eye sight, hence eligibility. I am unable to understand the eyesight rules. I am stating my eye sight number in terms of spherical and cylinderical. As i cant understand the concept of visual acuity. Kindly comment

Spherical 7.00
Cylinderical 1.5
Axis 180
V/A 6/6
Same for both eyes

you are perfectly eligible with this visual acuity.as the criteria is having best corrected visual acuity 6/6.so you fulfil that criteria.it does not matter what ever sph or cyl nmber you are using.the thing is to achieve 6/6 vision.so no worries.

the final result should be a 6/6 VA..and you should not worry,any how you didnt mention the signs either plus number or minus.your number is high,but if u gain 6/6 VA you are elegible.Best Luck

Thanks arosh for your reply and concern. My distant eyesight is weak. Its in minus.
It would be helpful if you judge it with css standards as i am unable to understand them.

Well eye sight is important for Police group,but if you have not preferred Police then nothing to worry about but if you want Police then you must be less then -3 must not be color blind
minus means distant sight

for css the final outcome of VA should be a 6/6 vision,after refraction with glasses.If ur vision is 6/6 or both eyes with glasses then its ok,as Shikva told that for police group the number should be not greater than -3.00,and should not be color blind(a person could diferentiate red green well),i dont know for police group vision demand.

Police k liye vision and color blindness ki limitations hain :)

Hogy limitation,, app senior hain apko pata hoga,,i just wana help those people who have vision problem or any eye disease.i dont know the police group requirements..i just know the diseases and vision problems as this is my speciality and can help.Thank you for informing me too.

I heard from an Optometrist that a VA of 6/6 with refraction is acceptable for police though am not sure about it.

sir meri ek prblm hai k mera medical test honay wala hai for the post of junior executive HR . meri prblm ye hai meri left eye lazy hai means mjhe by birth ye prblm hai meri right eye perfect hai left m prblm hai kya main iski wja se medical test main reject tu nh hojaonga ???? kya medically fit hn main is job k liye Nescom main hai ye job.please kindly helpout me
