Default Eye Sight

Dear All,

After going through CSS rules yesterday; I had a proper eye check up today morning and the only problem, seemingly, that is a matter of concern right now is my distant vision which is 3/60 but the minimum required is 6/60 but with the use of glasses it is rectified to 6/6. Now I am confused whether I am eligible for Police or any top notch department? In case, I hate pasted down the requirements and the link to the website (http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/do...20Syllabus.pdf)

No candidate will be considered fit for the service whose Visual Acuity falls below the following standards :—
Standard I
Right eye Left eye
Distant vision V. 6/6 . . . . . . . . . . . . V. 6/6
Near vision—Reads 0.6 . . . . . . . . . . . . Reads 0.6
Standard II
Better eye Worse eye
V, without glasses, not below 6/60 and after
correction with glasses not below 6/24.
. . Reads 1.
Better eye Worse eye
Distant vision—V, without glasses :— not below 6/60 and V, without glasses, not below
after correction with glasses—Not below 6/6. 6/60 and after correction with
glasses—not below 6/24.

If it is 6/6 with glasses then except for Police and Railways you are eligible for all other groups.
Wish you luck!

Thank you Syeda Ma'am. As per doctor's report, with glasses on, my eye sight is VA 6/6. It has been on my nerves since quite some time now; I will be able to concentrate better on my studies.

No reason bothering what is not under your control. Focus on cracking exam and passing in flying colors. Rest leave on Allah.

You may become the one to bring this to their notice and the very reason for future amendments. Who knows? Keep your spirits high.
