dear:

Introduction:

introduce youself, family, your education, job, languages, skills, extra curricular activites, hobbies, etc...Please try to highlight your plus points...mention your achievements. introduction shall be in a sequence.Consider that you are introducing a new commodity in a market...and you have to convince the consumer...in this process, your communication skills matter alot.

Uniform issue

Talking about the uniform issue, you have to be logical. If u support president in uniform then you should support your answer with solid arguments...( "law of necessity , supreme court's verdict etc)

if you are against a president in uniform, then you can say that according to const.a govt servant can not become a president (in this regard a bill was passed by NA, which allowed Gen.Musharraf to hold dual offices...)... so,whawhatever position you take...please justify it on solid grounds...

Members are more interestd in your arguments... lastly...since the chairman is a retired general...he might not like too much criticism regarding army/generals...so in controversial matters,a diplomatic answer would be more appropriate...

I have stated my openion...i wd also like to learn from othr members of the forum..

Regards...

Regarding Into, I would be much obliged if someone comes up with a sample introduction.

General Mysharraf's Uniform:
General Saab is a brilliant general, which his track record duely shows. He came in to save the country at a time of great crisis and his policies did succeed to a great extent! As a Pakistani, I would be very happy if General Musharraf continues as President of Pakistan for the next tenure too. I would only be more happy, if I gives up his army service

whatever General saahb is.....he is a usurper and not a brilliant soldier....he toppled Nawaz's govt out of sheer vindictiveness...and not of salvaging Pakistan's doomed economy.....army rule has always came as the shock waves....initially they pose as the greatest liberators....but when the dust settles down, their true faces start surfacing....they are no better than any civilians in nepotism......

at least i have no soft corners for the uniformed men in my heart.....Army has never allowed our political society to evolve...their frequent meddling in country's civilian govts have caused stagnancy in the political atmospherics...and the stagnant waters always breed germs.....

regards,

Default Rationality is the way out ...rt solution is the answer

i believe that firmly that whtever has been destined for us we would get that only if we put honest effort.so if being interviewed ab uniform question , thn i must say wht is the right thing.it depends if one say in a diplomatic way..as nature varies.as far as present regime is concerned , a civil bureaucrat shouldn't come under pressure in any case.Always be on rt side for tht rt thing will lead you to success.A president must not be in uniform acc to constitution law.ths it. About law of necessity that should be for a short time only not for 7 yrs or so...if he talks about good governance n democracy than theoretical grounds arent going to make footing strong....one need practical ,rational and visionary decisions.he should not be the part of the problem ..must find solution...Knowledge is power ..so present regime shouldnt let future csp to change his or her thinking n belief up held.As role of judiciary cant be excluded frm it....qouting if i am not wrong Malaysian Prime minister was being charged for illegal parking lot ..a police officer pointed out...in Dawn two days bk.....so transparency n accountability cant b ignored even at cost of a post..so put rt thing in a rt way....believe in HIM.

bt the way danyal put sounds a little emotional .(dont mind)...so one has to manage each n everything one can put such arguments ina better way by sticking to this point..bt every one has rt to express opinions in one s' own natural style with rationality not diplomacy.

regards,
Your statements carry alot of emotion and I can understand that. Even I don't have soft corners for unifromed rulers! But to say that General Musharraf has not been a brilliant soldier of the motherland will not only be an understatement but also prove to be very discouraging for those who risk their lives to save us. General Musharraf created examples of bravery during the 1965 war. Afterwards in the Afghan War 1979-89, General Musharraf played a very vital role to help the Mujahideen oust the Communist invaders from Afghanistan.

Thumbs up

While answering controversial questions,it is not good to be emotional...rather one must present his/her arguments in a convincing manner... as far as "diplomacy" is concerned...please do not take it as "hypocracy"

No need to show political affiliation in interview...a bureaucrat is not supposed to be a part of any political party...he is a civil servant...

As far as uniform issue is concerned, ideally the president should not be in uniform and should not hold dual offices...but our ammended constitution facilitates him in this regard...

Regards...

My dear friends......first of all let me clear one thing...i had not posted my comments regarding that brilliant soldier in context of interwiew...i know one must not show political affiliations or bias against the executive......i wanted to discuss why those who posted before me had remained ardent admirers of Musharraf saahb.....n to sing epics of his bravery is to say spade a spade...our soldiers on the whole are very brave souls.....but if they donot show feats of bravery in the battlefield, what good they r of?......they pledge to be faithful and brave to their salt at the time of induction....moreover they also pledge to safegaurd that sacred document called CONSTITUTION along with mother soil....and if , as Shakespeare put it, "thieves for their robbery have authority when the judges steal themselves," our protectors keep frequently belabouring the principles.....who else is there to hitch country's wagon to the stars.....this is what ails me more when i see my soldiers resorting to mean practices...and i have my self been potentially the part of uniform....

regards,
