Well there are only fifteen minutes and ten group members have to speak so you don't get a lot of time to make your arguments. My arguments were just based on daily newspaper study and I take a look at almost all major news dailies of Pakistan and at least one from India, US and UK each.

The arguments I made for the English topic were as follows

-- When the chief psychologist had just announced the topic, for no less than 5 seconds all of my group members were spell bound, they could not think of something to say. At this point I started politely by saying "I think I should start this discussion by elaborating the topic first..." and then I gave a few examples from reporting role of media how these reporters just worry about being the first to break the news and try to conduct interviews with near dead people when something terrible has happened.

-- After this introduction from me, the whole group started to discuss in the same lines and gave their arguments regarding the reporting role of media. At this point in the middle of the discussion I spoke again and requested my group members to shift the discussion to the more important "opinion making" role of the media, all of the group agreed to it and I gave my arguments on how the talk show hosts try to destabilize the government. I was against the tone in which these talk shows (by some hosts and I named them) are conducted and their proximity towards a certain section in the power center.


That's all for the English discussion, now for the Urdu topic my arguments were as follows:

-- I started to speak once 3-4 of my group member had already made their arguments and I said that we have to stop blaming our own failures on other nations. My point was that every country has the right to advance the interests of its own people by all means possible, be it diplomatic or forceful. I said that you should come out of the illusion that this is a good world we live in where every nation is considerate about the other.

-- Some of my group members gave arguments based on Wikileaks and they were trying to prove that foreign powers are involved in calling the shots in Islamabad. To this again I asked who is responsible to stop them from doing it? If our military and political leadership have failed us, we cannot just put the blame on Anne Peterson and sit back.

-- At another point in the discussion, one of my friends quoted the recent news reports that talked about India's involvement in Baluchistan. Immediately after him, I took my turn and told them that the published news was a planted one and Guardian of UK has written a detailed article exposing all those who were involved in planting this news. Many newspaper had to publish an apology on the next day.

i apeared for the psychological test of ce2010 on 11th dec at islamabad centre. the psycchlogical test was conducted for two consecutive days. on the first day we were to take a written test. it was comprising of ten(10) small test. before the test we were given a biodata form to be filled in, which had question about our academics, address, interests etc.
with the start of the test we were given a booklet having a set of 100 different type of questions like synonyms, antonyms and analytical type short questions and we were to solve all that in 50mins
after that the second test began, this booklet was having 64pictureswhich we were to complete in 45mins
then a 3rd booklet was given. it was having some facts from which 30conclusions were drawn, we were to mark that whether these conclusions are true, false or uncertain. this was to be done within 5minutes.
these three tests were to assess the intelligence.
after three tests there was a short break of 10minutes.

then we were given 8minutes to complete 35incomplete sentences.
5th test was that of true and false sentences. 208 sentences were given which we were to mark true or false within 25minutes.
then another test was given which was to be completed within 10minutes. it had questions like ur fav. personalities, books etc. ur strengths ur shortcomings and the general things like that..
all these tests were to assess personality traits.
after that again there was a break of 10 minutes.

in the last phase of wrtten test firstly we were given 8mins to write our life history/autobiography.
secondly three pictures were given from which we were to write three separate stories. each story was to be completed within 5mins.
once again we were given 8mins to complete 35 incomplete sentences.
in the end 64sentences were given to be marked with agree or disagree within 5minutes.

after that we were free on the first day.
all that was to be assessed was ur positivity and approach towards life.



2nd day......
on the second day we were asked to sit in a semicircle position where we were to participate in group discussions.
firstly there was group discussion in urdu. we were to speak for 10mins on the topic:
"mojuda daur mein subaai khudmukhtari mulki salmiat k liye khatra he"

after that without any pause we were given another in english to speak on for 10 more mins. the topic was:
"internal tensions in the political scenario threatens democracy"

after group discussions we were given command task. 15mins were provided to think about the respective task. after that each candidate was asked to hold and conclude a meeting on his assigned task witrhin 8mins.

during all this process on the 2nd day three psychologist were sitting there to observe us...

after that each candidate had a small session of interview with the psychologists.
and hence the 2nd day too got over.

i hope this will help other aspirant to prepare themselves for the psychological test. my final intervierw is scheduled on 7th january, after that i'll tell u about thar as well. plz do pray for me....

after roaming around five pages, five full of information pages,, i conclude that this is being to be YOURSELF, dont frame anything, dont give any fake concept, be exact and you go through. AM I RIGHT SENIORS AND PSY> TEST GIVERS? i am going to be at that table which you had already been at 22 december. hope it goes good.

question is the application form that they sent with interview call letter is the same which we submitted at the time of written papers? either fee is going to be submitted again? and second one what if we dont post the matric and inter certificates before 22 dec, either we can carry them and at 22 dec give tothe official t here or they should be already there???

Yeah, I think the idea is to be yourself. Faking won't help anyway. You don't have to submit any fee, just fill up the forum and take it along on the test day. As far as documents are concerned I did not post them anything and took all my educational documents (originals and photocopies) with me on the test day.

Dear Pure, kindly elaborate what kind of picture test is this.plz..Do we have to *gulp* draw pictures? or do we have to write something within that speech bubble?

if its the former, then i am a goner

oh, and in that undertaking form, i have no idea what to write against that "General Recruitment Case #...i am leaving it blank for now.i'll ask that guy at the counter (the one who would be checking our documents) to tell me what to write in there..was he friendly enough?

my psychological assessment was on 8th and 9th of december and that went great.the key to success is b confident and relax. behave what u really are and thats it.
on first day various tests have been given as described in the earlier post.
on second day there were group discussions and command tasks.

my command task was an oil well has exploded near a village and oil and gas are gushing out.how to handle that.

my discussion and command tasks went great.pray 4 my success in interview.
