Need urgent Help with Psychological Test

I need urgent help regarding Psychological test. I was reading other threads and it seems that we will be asked to write down our 2 favourite books and summarize them. Well the problem here is that I don't like books and havn't read any in the last 10 years except course books. What am I supposed to do? Can you guys recommend any good, short/non-controversial books which I should buy and read now? Any other solution?

@ mani ...i am also facing the same problem man.... i do not read any books...someone told me to read Seven habits of highly effective people. but it is a long book and secondly it is very popular:P...since everyone knows about it , and if my psychologist asks about it ..then i doubt that i would be able to satisfy her ..so i am also in search of books

Some one in tips section said that don't mention those books from course books or any religious books as Quran pak etc...I'm a literature student. Can I mention any book from literature ?

Yes,you can mention both fiction and non fiction.

My opinion:
you can mention those books as well which you have read ten years back.i don't see any problem in it if you can justify your interest.
it is not necessary that a book which inspired you, should be a newly published one.

Here are two very useful threads that might help.

Have you read "A message to Garcia"-an essay...By Elbert Hubbard.
It is one of the most published and acclaimed inspirational essay.

If you do not want to read lengthy books.I would suggest you to choose a simple book plus this essay.
It is awesome piece of writing.Enough to impress the panel:).

All the Best.

@mani and soloflyer: If you people are not used to book reading then try to select favorite personalities and books of same origin to reduce your burden. Decide about your favorite personalities first and then select some books either written/authored by them or written for them. Such combination/correlation of personalities and books will pay you in the psychological as well as in vio voce phase.

@Gulrukh: There is no harm in selecting literary books, rather selection of literary or visionary books gains the attention of psychologist and interviewer quickly.

Target in selecting Personalities and Books:

To gain the attention of psychologist and interview and compel him/her to raise some question from personalities and books to support you in hunting good score.

Don’t take it as a compulsion or duty or mere formality. Consider it a golden opportunity to create some questions of your choice and to keep interviewer busy in your own sphere and expertise. Let the interviewer revolve in your own circle. The time you give him space to drive you in his own (interviewer’s) sphere you will be totally on his mercy and dependent on luck. So let the luck and interviewers follow you, lead them.
Hint for candidates who are running short of time:

Utilize net surfing and collect some book reviews and summaries of those selected books. You need not go through these bulky books A-Z.

Wish you good luck.

Regards

@Raz

Sir loved your suggestion! I would be very grateful if you can let us know other scoring opportunities as well in the psychological and interview
I heard 'Psychological Test' contains no marks as such and that we are only marked for the 'interview'...is that the way it really is?
Psychological phase is not numerically marked rather ranked and recommended. That ranking cum recommendation of the psychological phase is in front of the Chairman at the time of final interview. Strong recommendation and positive comments will form a pre-interview perception for the candidate. You know we are often driven by our perceptions. Positive perception and supportive feedback from the psychological panel will pay you in your final interview in the shape of good score and healthy discussion. It's an opportunity. Moreover; your books and personalities will not be restricted to the psychological panel only. You will also be questioned in final interview regarding books and personalities if you have mentioned impressive books and personalities.

One more trick: Some of the candidates deliberately opt for controversial books and controversial personalities to gain the attention of panel and force them to assign major time of your interview on those books and personalities about which you have been Hafiz-ul-Quran. You may succeed in this trick but it is not risk free option because if you fail to convince them and prove your point, you may face odd situation.

Regards

1. There is no harm in it but it is preferable to disclose visionary side of yours. Something impressive, interesting and constructive.

2. Revise key concepts and one best glossary
