Panel interview by Psychlogists

Do Psychologists know the written marks or not ? :oo

As far as i think they should know because they make recommendations and recommendation without written marks is not useful.

Comment awaited

Psychological assessment tests are concerned with the testing of your abilities and your personality with special reference to civil services irrespective of your marks in the written examination. It can be that a person may have excellent personality attributes but he/she might have not been able to perform well in the written due to any reason so both are different methods to have an idea of your qualities independent of eachother.

I think 50-50, as psychologists judge us for 2 days with different traits. Moreover score of panel is also affetced by the comments of psychologists

then why panelists are asking questions from psychological performa and why they are concerned about autobiographies and the spelling mistakes made during psychological assessment?

What BD said once upon a time in CSA,Walton does not mean that we take that as final..may be that was just a general remark..BD downplayed its role but Psychological tests have a major role in selection. It has a major role in army selection..It is used internationally in recruitment process..You can deceive the panel on interview day by posing artificial but you cant on those two days..They see you inside out..judge you and forward those analysis to BD..Its up to him to either reject it or take it seriously..BD is a chairman he can do any thing..but it do helps him to come to a conclusion...

in this regard i will quote from few aspirants this year ,these are word of bhagwandas:
"your psychological assessment tells that you are not fit for civil service"

your psychologica report says that you are below par for civil service"

here is one example:
http://www.cssforum.com.pk/393110-post14.html

well what he said in csa may be said in some other context. psychological reports may or may not matter. rest is with panels' decision to finalise
