My Psychological on May 10th, 2012, Phase II Islamabad
First thing's the submission of documents.
Then they give you a form where you have to update your details. The details are already printed in and you have to correct anything that isn't right or add stuff to it. It also has a few questions like you personal strengths, skills, any sports or co curricular activities where you received an award, etc etc. Then comes a barrage of tests, one after another, though they do give you a break or two in the middle of it all. First is an IQ test consisting of 60 questions. 30 or 40 mins are given for it. It consists of math questions, words that need to be matched with two words given in the question, e.g the words in the question would be duel and trade and its answer would be 'exchange' from a list of words as it relates to both duel and trade, etc etc. Then comes a test for matching a shape in a sequence of shapes. A total of 40 questions. Then comes a test where you have to reply with strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree. There was a total of 240 questions and you had to do it in 30 or 40 mins. They did give us extra time for it though and made sure we completed it. Then comes a test for completing sentences. Total time 8 mins Then comes a sheet of paper where you have to answer the given questions about yourself e.g attributes of your friends that appeal you and those that don't, etc etc. Two favourite books also had to be mentioned along with two national/international events of 2011. There was also a question about naming two personalities that have changed the world or something along those lines, i can't seem to recall the exact wording. Then there was a test to see your ability to comprehend. The test had 4 or 5 passages and each passage had 4 or 5 questions from it. Its fairly easy and all you need to do is read the passage carefully. The total number of questions in it was 24. There there was the autobiography which had a total time of 8 mins and you had to write about your achievements, memories, etc etc. Then came another sentence completing test with a time duration of 8 minutes. And finally there was the story writing. Each story writing session was for 5 minutes with a total of 3 pictures. They ask you to write a beginning and a middle and an end and make the story as dramatic and creative as possible, but there's only so much you can do in the 5 minutes given for each picture. That's pretty much all I can remember at the moment. I hope it helps. Remember to manage your time during these tests. That's the only piece of advice I'll give, the rest will come to your naturally. |

Second Day of Psychological 11th May, 2012 Islamabad Phase II
First thing after reporting, you have to submit your security form (provided to you the previous day).
Then after a while, they call the whole group in front of the psychological panel and there are two discussions held in english and urdu separately for 15 minutes each. Our urdu discussion was " Awam kay masail Hakoomat ki tarjeehat mein nahin hain" and the one in english was " Areas Of Conflict in Pakistan are increasing". Then there was the part where you were given a command task and you had 8 minutes to jot down the whole agenda as you saw fit. Another 7 or 8 minutes were given to discuss and present it. Then came the interview with the psychological panel where they ask questions about you, from you. A word of advice for the day , be confident and yourself. I had been rather assertive over a candidate earlier in the moring before the whole affair started and it made me decide to tone myself down a bit. The toning down went a bit too far though and i sort of lost track of things. It concluded well though, thanks to the civility of my batch. So My only advice is to be yourself and be confident. p.s : My viva's on the 21st rabia and the interviews are probably ending on the 29th. Don't sweat it, everything will work out fine. |
