there are some tricky questions like i remember there was one "bribery could only be justified if.....??" and u have to fill the blank....and that too when you have to complete 35 such sentences in 10 mins ....so no time to find a 'reasonable reason' :P

then there are yes/no statements ,,,,180 in 45 mins....

then in personality test they sometimes ask for a favorite joke...make sure it doesn't show any of ur racial, ethnic or gender biases/prejudice... (so pathan/sardar jokes are a big NO)

then there are 4 utterly negative opening statements and one has to right a story on each in 4 minutes....

and some DO's and DON'TS for discussions :

be logical, don't ever get political or emotional, take a stance and then defend it, take your turn and then let others speak, don't interrupt any speaker, if you get a second chance to speak, good enough...if not, even that's okay. you can partially or fully agree with any given topic, so don't hesitate to speak what you feel regardless of what everyone else in the group is supporting.

command task:

first plan your task ( You will get 7 mins for it i guess)

then on your turn...after pleasantries, first of all make sure you have defined your task very clearly.
then seek suggestions from other members. (one can designate posts to the stakeholders present in the meeting)
then analyse those suggestions, add up your own solutions (they must be pragmatic) and then conclude.

a sample command task:
A prisoner escaped from police custody, he belong to a particular religious sect and rival sectarian group is demonstrating protests against it , make a strategy to pacify the situation?

I remember finalizing a joke - bohat ahtamam se - before the test.
But they never asked See they change the contents even batch to batch. Thumbs up!

Pattern of psychological assessment has been changed since CSS 2013.

Now they have revised their tests.
Last year picture story and lengthy questions were removed

On second day, English speech has been added.

Kindly go through last year psychological thread.

From my part, I have one serious advise.

Take psychological seriously and prepare for it. It highly affects your interview score. Period!

In 2012 we were told it had been revised in 2011 and then 2012 was itself different, then again 2013. I think they are revising it every year now. But then again good to be prepared.

@ all no one is taking me serious.i have cleared written exam and i am very worried because i dont know when the psychological test is going to held?there is nothing on fpsc website.Bhudda contended on this thread that it is going to start from 15th nov.I asked about the source but he bothered not give any reply/ commission waly phon receive nahi karty.please seniors tell me k psychological kb hoga if u ppl have any info in this regard.

Can any one of the qualifiers, please come up with the complete description, of the Command Task. I haven't been through this, in my whole life =)
