I am one of those soldiers who are going to appear in CSS Examination 2008. I have opted Sociology, Journalism, Public Admn, Internationsl Relations and English Literature. sociology....... book of HURT and HUNT simple book ob sociology

and iqbal chudary book pakistani soceity..

see its sylabous u will find outline

2. journalism...... "qJOurnalism for all "````` and mass media in pakistan

but belief me i just read out the journalism for and got 62 marks.....

I would like to ask are there any books which covers a topic question wise, or gvie me some tips to complete these two courses (journalism, and socoilogy) within 40 days, i m determinant enough and always work accordingly my time table, but still need to know how to start, some very impt topics and desperately need someone to discuss these subjects in detail!!!!

Amoeba First of all thanx for the offer of help regarding sociology & journalism. but I m interested in journalism. There r many problms regarding questions of the previous papers. i want their satisfactory answers.
Quetions which r troublesome for me r:
1: How to attempt the following question of 2001 paper
"Inspite of having clear criteria by which to judge news, the fact is that the news is what we make of it. Discuss"
2: What is embedded journalism? I hav never found this term anywhere can u explain it? The related question is in 2003 paper. "Explain the concept of embedded journalism. Had it compromised news objectivity and freedom of press?"
There r other problems as well but plz help me for these first and later I will ask u others.
AS i have not sufficient posts so i m unable to send u the PM.
