Unhappy Journalism: No more a Generalism

The reason I say that Journalism is no more a piece of cake is based on the following points.
Journalism was thought to be Generalism where students could easily attempt very General questions.
The examiner played a very cunning trick by giving a General question BUT adding something PARTICULAR to the first part of the question.
For instance, I am going to share two questions from this year's paper.
Q. No. 5. "Todays media has taken centre stage role in the daily life and society".Give your comments on this statement in the light of media system dependence theory."
The first part of the question, "Today's media has taken centre stage role in the daily life and society". is quite general in nature. But the problematic part of the question starts with the second half of the question where you are asked to give your comments in the light of MEDIA SYSTEM DEPENDENCE THEORY."
Now, if you have no idea as to what this Media System Dependence theory is then you are going to struggle big time.
Similarly, there was another question of the similar nature.
Q. No. 6. " In the light of karl marx media theory: analyze the role of at least 3 tv channels with the special reference of flood disaster. what is national development? and how media can play role in national development."
Again, one half of the question is quite simple but the problem starts when you are asked to express your opinion based on THE KARL MARX MEDIA THEORY.
Note : This is the reason why I think Journalism to be no more Generalism.
Regards,
Ainuddin KIbzai.
