In my opinion u should start with COMPETITIVE JOURNALISM by ABID TEHAI...later go for Exploring Journalism by Mirza Muhammad Yousaf..
Apart form all this stuff its better to understand our own MEDIA ROLE OF PRINT MEDIA... ELECTRONIC MEDIA.... IMPORTANT EVENTS AND RESPONSE OF MEDIA... POSITVE ROLE... NEGATIVE IMPACT... and so on.. This additional knowledge plus bookish knowledge will help you in handling GENERAL questions(questions that don't have direct answers from book and that need creativity and knowledge) as well as getting good score..... i also have Virtual university notes of journalism if u need i can send u by email..my email id is in my profile.. from css point of view, abid tehami's book is more than enough. Secondly, seeing the recent trend of journalism paper you will also have to prepare some important media theories. Thirdly, learn to be analytical in your writing because this ability is going to help you a lot in the paper.
