O don't think so.There is nothing special,actually I always study by making points because near exams it is very useful to just have a look on points rather exploring pages and pages.Well I will keep sharing,it might clear your concepts.

Characteristics of Caste

Merits of culture

__intermarriage make a Biradri and creates social solidarity
__Norms of a caste are forceful
__Endogamous___(marriage within people of same caste is easy and more adjusting than between two different castes)

Demerits of Caste

__Ethnocentrism(considering one's group superior to others)
__Norms are so rigid that social change in them is considered violation.

@Greenhorn The book I have(by Taga brothers)contains the same material which I posted.You are speaking of Horton and Hunt?Right?

@Sadia I made points from available material and it had no Max Weber under the topic of Class.Besides this topic is not about theories.
